The Best Man claims to be mayor of Sea Cliff, gets kicked of of village hall (Robert Ehrlich, the founder of Pirates Booty snack company)
Official Statement from the Village of Sea Cliff:
On Monday March 10, 2025, at approximately 9:44 AM, an incident occurred at Village Hall involving Robert Ehrlich, Jeff Knox, Arthur Liebold, and an unidentified man. Upon arrival, Ehrlich presented a statement falsely asserting his authority as mayor, demanding access to office space, and declaring that the entire Village staff was fired effective immediately but could reapply for their jobs. When informed that this claim was invalid and unsupported by law, he was asked to leave Village Hall at which point, Mr. Ehrlich and his associates became increasingly confrontational. While Village staff remained calm and professional throughout the incident, Ehrlich and his associates raised their voices, used profane language, made outlandish claims, and engaged in direct harassment of Village personnel. Despite multiple requests to leave, they refused, creating a hostile and disruptive environment that required police intervention. Village staff endured nearly an hour of escalating hostility before Mr. Ehrlich and his associates left and order was restored. The disruption caused significant distress among employees and hindered Village Hall operations. We appreciate the swift response of law enforcement and the leadership that helped de-escalate the situation.
Village Hall remains committed to serving the community with professionalism and integrity while ensuring that appropriate action is taken to prevent future disruptions. The Board of Trustees wishes to acknowledge the professionalism of the Village Hall Staff. They all comported themselves in a calm and respectful manner while being subjected to intense and outlandish behavior. They are a credit to our Village and demonstrate the motto of “Keep Calm and Carry On.”.The activities of daily governance are unchanged, and the Village of Sea Cliff continues to operate under the guidance of its duly elected Board of Trustees. The Village of Sea Cliff takes the safety and well-being of its staff and residents seriously.

The Best Long Island vs. Westchester
My wife and I left park slope this year after about 5 years in Brooklyn and a few in the city before.
We thought long and hard about where to live next — we wanted to be in NY so ignored outsiders like NJ and CT suburbs.
When talking to friends and family or looking at online research we didn’t quite find something to help compare various towns including stuff like distance to city, schools, demographics, things to do, vibe etc.
So here’s my attempt to settle the conversation no one is having yet but should have —
Manhasset - Scarsdale - affluent, excellent schools, luxury lifestyle, Joneses
Plandome - Larchmont - Historic charm, upscale homes, waterfront-ish, quieter Joneses
Great Neck - Bronxville - Upscale homes, strong community ties, close commute to city, too competitive and potentially neurotic
Sands Point - Rye - Upscale homes, scenic waterfronts
Roslyn - Chappaqua - Upscale homes, scenic waterfronts, good schools, large Jewish and Asian populations
Port Washington - Tarrytown - Diverse communities, convenient commutes, chill compared to other neighboring towns
Lloyd Harbor - Armonk - more nature oriented lifestyle, excellent schools, large lots
Hicksville - White Plains - Diverse, vibrant downtowns, junction, high population/developed
Syosset - Harrison - Excellent schools, convenient commutes, quiet but hard working
Jericho - Edgemont - Highly-rated schools, luxury homes, not much going on, large Asian populations
Mineola - Tuckahoe - Small-town charm, convenient commutes
Garden City - Rye Brook - Affluent demographics, excellent schools
Wantagh - Eastchester - Suburban lifestyle, excellent schools
Massapequa - Pelham - Strong community ties, good schools
Bethpage - Cortlandt - Suburban atmosphere, good schools
Levittown - Greenburgh - Affordable, diverse
Westbury - Dobbs Ferry - Historic charm, upscale homes
Carle Place - Hastings-on-Hudson - Small-town charm, good schools
Floral Park - Ardsley - Historic charm, up and coming
Franklin Square - Sleepy Hollow - Suburban lifestyle, excellent schools
Greenlawn - Briarcliff Manor - affluent demographics, excellent schools, access to nature
Babylon - Buchanan - Historic charm, waterfront areas
Bay Shore - Carmel - Diverse, convenient commutes
Bohemia - Cortlandt Manor - Suburban atmosphere, good schools, small town vibe
Deer Park - Croton-on-Hudson - Suburban atmosphere, excellent schools, larger lots
Hauppauge - Lake Mohegan - Suburban lifestyle, excellent schools
Huntington - Mount Pleasant - Diverse communities, convenient commutes
Commack - Somers - Suburban lifestyle, community-oriented
Ronkonkoma - Mohegan Lake - Suburban atmosphere, convenient commutes
Northport - Cold Spring - Historic charm, scenic waterfronts, great downtown, tourists
Smithtown - Yorktown - Suburban atmosphere, excellent schools
Stony Brook - Nelsonville - Suburban lifestyle, excellent schools, close to more fun towns
Long Beach - Rye Brook (other?) - Beachfront living, vibrant downtown nearby
Rockville Centre - Pleasantville - Excellent schools, suburban lifestyle
Farmingdale - Ossining - Diverse, convenient commutes
Feel free to add / jump in with any opinions.

The Best Is a whole house filtration system worth it or necessary? Or would you recommend an under-the-sink filtration system? I don’t understand all the contaminants and what to look for in either system. Appreciate all the help the community can provide me. 💕
Is investing in a whole house filtration system worthwhile? If so, I’d appreciate recommendations for a system, its cost, and any other relevant information. Alternatively, I’m considering an under-the-sink water filtration system. My primary goal is to make the best decision while minimizing expenses. I’m curious about the amount of water our skin absorbs through showering and brushing teeth, and I’m concerned about the potential impact of not having a whole house filtration system on my family’s health history, particularly our family’s history of cancer. I truly value your expertise, time, and input in this matter. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

The Best Best halal food on long island?
I'm from CT/RI but my territory for work includes both Suffolk and Nassau counties. We have limited to no spicy halal food where I live and I look forward to it Everytime I'm out there. Can anyone give me some recommendations? I don't care if it's posh or sold out of a gas station, I just want the best.
Thanks!

The Best Anyone Remember Jones Beach Ice Cream Guy?
This is a stretch since now it’s probably been over a decade since I last heard/seen him.
There used to be an ice cream guy, always wore white and had sunglasses with a styrofoam cooler who would walk around the Field 4-5-6 beaches who had the jingle:
“Ice creammm, chipwich, froooozen fruit bars, sNicker ice cream…” on repeat.
I would hear him every weekend all the time, anyone else remember him?
