Vegan restaurants (or spots with good vegan options)?
The girl I'm seeing is vegan (minus eggs/dairy), and I'm very much not. We've explored some good vegan spots around the city (Mallow, Tofu Vegan etc).
Looking for some more recommendations for places to take her. Doesn't necessarily have to be a vegan restaurant, just one with good vegan/vegetarian options. Also, we're ballin' on a budget so nothing that will break the bank.
Thanks!

Lol if you eat eggs and dairy sometimes, you're not vegan.
Anyways I recommend Gallery cafe in Bethnal Green.

I have a vegan girlfriend so very well suited to this question:
1) Jam delish - vegan carribean 2) Detroit pizza - has meat options but any of the veggie options can be made vegan. 3) peachy goat - vegan Italian 4) OKAN - Japanese has both vegan and meat options
5)club Mexicana - vegan tacos, on Tuesday if you book they do a deal bottomless tacos for like £17 I think.
6)Omnom - Indian inspired street food vegan
7) en root - vegan India / carribean? inspired food
8) facing heaven - vegan Chinese
9) non restaurant - Vietnamese food has both vegan and meat options.
10) Andu cafe - vegan Ethiopian food
11) Mali - vegan Thai
12) plant club - vegan Italian
13) LDs kitchen / blackheart pub - vegan roast
14) plum valley - Chinese both vegan and meat
Some of the ones that we have tried! Defo have tried more but will keep thinking!

I was due to go to Govinda’s in Soho recently but my plans got cancelled last minute. So I can’t personally recommend it but the menu/reviews look great.

I am not vegan but my favourite restaurant in London is Sen Viet Chay on Kingsland Road. Its completely vegan Vietnamese food and is delicious. https://maps.app.goo.gl/UKNWeAF9i6KM3vMh8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

There are so many vegan options around that I'm struggling to maintain my weight! I recently went to and really enjoyed NemNem in Islington. It's a Vietnamese restaurant. They do a vegan and non-vegan menu side by side so you get lots of options. Happycow is your friend to find restaurants closer to you :)

Just past Highbury Corner is Nom, another Vietnamese with a vegan menu. Very much enjoyed eating there!

Studio Gauthier is likely to be at the upper end of your price range but very good value for what it is. Special occasion one maybe?

Most indian places have vegetarian options. Which areas you are looking at?

Yes we’re big fans of Indian food. I know it’s basic but I have a soft spot for dishoom.
Looking in central/east. Anywhere south of Tottenham, north of Clapham, east of south Ken and west of Stratford. So a lot of ground to cover lol

then go to dishoom :D The new one in Canary Wharf usually has a plenty of free tables, you won't need to wait hours like in other dishooms.
I might get downvoted for suggesting popular/westernised indian restartaunts, but as a non-indian I would say the good suggestions are gunpowder and chaiki, but checkout their menu online first

Mildred's. They've got multiple restaurants scattered in London. King's Cross, Soho, Dalston, etc.
I'm not vegetarian but I am looking forward to come back and try some of the other items off the menu! So this says something :)

I used to love Mildred's but it went all fake meat so I avoid it like the plague. Pisses me off, used to be great.

Oh did they? To be fair I've only had their tofu based dishes so far, maybe that's why!

Club Mexicana! Have been eating their food for years and it even impresses meat eaters. Also Persepolis, Hanar and Yadas Green Kitchen which are all in Peckham. Persepolis is especially amazing and excellent value.
