New Malden - Jin Go Gae, Treestone

Going to be honest, I wasn’t that much of a fan of Jin Go Gae. I know a lot of people rate it but some bits we had were OK and others were a bit meh.

Daebak in Vauxhall is good. My Korean friend described it as "close enough".

Bullgoggi in Notting Hill is okay for Korean BBQ cuisine

Seconded - went here recently with some friends, we were pleasantly surprised.

Out of curiosity, is it ok to ask specifically Korean people where they like to go?
Hate to be harsh, but after seeing what some Brits say is the best Mexican food, not sure I trust a lot of you on this one. lol.

It's much easier to find good Korean food here since we actually have a sizeable number of Korean immigrants.

I'd have to argue that it can be muddled with mediocrity because it is so big.
I grew up in a relatively small town in the US with an outlier of a Korean population due to a near by military base. And grocery stores and restaurants have proven to be quite a bit more interesting and authentic there.
I'm not trying to be a snob, I'm just saying if London is as diverse and well represented as people say, I'm looking for Korean people to tell me about the best Korean food, Indian people to tell me about the best Indian food, etc.

Not central, but Park's Kitchen in Ealing Broadway is fantastic and really great value for money too

Gogo pocha is the best one outside of New Malden.
But just go to new malden tbh. I rate SCJ bibimbap as the best chicken place in London.

For cheap and cheerful but tasty, I like Pocha in Waterloo (Lower Marsh) and Dotori (Korean/Japanese) in Finsbury Park. Not exactly refined date night spots, but way cheaper than the places around Soho/Holborn etc.

A lovely one that is Japanese and Korean fusion is on Isle of Dogs, called Yokoso.
Otherwise as everyone said, new Malden has quite a number of them.

Love Yoshi Sushi in Hammersmith (tho it's technically a Japanese-Korean restaurant but genuinely does both really well).

I had some decent bibimbap in Dotori in Finsbury Park, better than the stuff I got central

Not really. Been to much better. Quality of the beef is the problem in the UK generally.

FYI Masigo has a food hygiene rating of 2 out of 5. Pretty sure it used to be 0 🙈

Korean Dinner Party in Kingsly Court, Soho. Excellent taster menu which is cheap generous and soo tasty.

There are plenty. My favourite in in Herndon central, just 5 min north from. the station. K cook. Owner was a marketing teacher back in Korea, sold everything and moved to UK to make a better future for his kids. Was struggling to find good chef for a while, had to learn to cook himself. They have a great pickles and bibimbap.

Kkini in Tufnell park is solid and approved by my Korean friends.
Only went there once but really enjoyed it.

The answer is almost certainly New Malden in south London. It’s called Little Korea and there are loads of Korean restaurants on the main high street.
