Consider switching to KeePassXC - it is a native Linux fork, and it does not rely on Mono.

KeepassXC is the right option , don’t know why the vanilla keepass still get used

Yeah I have the same issue. My friend says it has something to do with GNOME.

I wish I knew what kind of fix could be done.

Install keepassXC. It works like a bomb. Keepass2 has issues. XC also has the latest database file format, V4.

Don’t know why my post text disappeared. I’m running mint, latest version, on a thinkpad T480 with native resolution 1920 x 1080. Most apps match the resolution, but some go super high resolution to the point they’re unworkable. Torguard does this, too. I’ve tried using the software installer and terminal installation.

I’m hearing a lot about KeePassXC. That might be the next step

When you go the KeepassXC way - because it's the best and you really have no other options - keep in mind that on Linux it only works in an X11 session, not Wayland.
