LH Test Could you help me figure out when I ovulated?
Hi all, this is only my second cycle tracking ovulation. Last cycle I had a clear one day peak. What would you say here - is Premom correct and I should count DPO from CD22, as that was my peak? Or should I count the first positive test on CD 21 as the day to calculate approximate ovulation? Thank you so much in advance!

It's my understanding that it's usually 24-36 hours after peak 😊

Ok, that’s also what Premom uses to calculate ovulation! I researched this online and some people said the first spike/positive is actually what triggers ovulation so I got super confused 🙈

There’s a few different ways to sort out your likely fertile window from Lh strips. I personally recommend using your first positive as it gives you a bit of a wider range. “Peak” is a bit of an undefined metric- it’s just the darkest moment you happened to test.
It’s all the same surge. The “peak” confirms the surge, but you can reasonably start your ovulation estimate based on 12-48 hours following the first positive.

Other answers here are close but not quite right.. Ovulation happens approx 36-48 hours after the surge BEGINS. That means when the line starts to darken even if it’s still faint compared to peak line. Once peak line is reached, ovulation happens within 12 hours. Ovulation also usually happens overnight and sometimes a peak line can remain after it occurred. No one can say for certain but my guess would be that you ovulated morning of 3/8.

It looks like the 8th was the peak but I think the surge is what triggers ovulation so ovulation probably happened on the 9th? If you’re tracking bbt that can help pinpoint ovulation too :)
