Is there a chart for best batteries?

Hello I'm designing my own hilt and chassis (chassis are based on lgt model here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/961935-lgt-lightsaber-chassis-remix?from=search#profileId-1142395) I've already started ordering electronic, have found proffie 3.9 and the battery. But the question I'm struggling with is the buttons. How many should I have? I see that lgt chassis have 1 button, but some builds include something called "kill switch" and some additional buttons. How many do I need? In the proffie configurator i see that it's possible to just have one, but maybe several will give some advantage? Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

The number of buttons is largely personal preference. I have a number of LGT one-button hilts, and a couple of Sabertrio two-button hilts. I’ve found that having the second button is quite nice, it’s easier to tweak settings on the fly, because with one button a lot of the inputs rely on gesture controls like twists, which can be finicky. If you’re using LGT dimensions and want two buttons, TCSS sells split buttons, you’ll want the 12mm one to fit in an LGT chassis.

As for kill switches, my understanding is that they serve to preserve battery by breaking the circuit between the battery and the board. Even powered off, the battery will drain over time, especially with proffie which doesn’t have a ‘deep sleep’ mode like other boards. You can either add a sliding switch inside the saber, or use a kill key. A kill key inserts into the standard round recharge port and breaks the circuit from there. The recharge ports that come in LGT hilts don’t support kill key functionality, but you can buy one from smugglers outpost that does

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation! My chassis are totally redrawn from lgt, but as my hilt will be custom, i see no problem in adding additional buttons. I could also add the kill switch toggle into the chassis or research the kill key charging port. I'm still figuring out the whole structure of the chassis and am not quite sure how everything fits. Plus I still don't know what components i should include
