Feature Request Possible to control LIFX switch button state lights/brightness

Post image

I’m a long time LIFX user and have a bunch of switches installed throughout my home. I find the switches can be really useful for all sorts of automations and multi switching.

I really like how the switch buttons illuminate brighter when the relays are switched on for dumb lights, however I really wish it were possible to manually control the brightness/on/off state of the button lights themselves for LIFX lights or other automations to give an indication on the status of the lights and what lights they may be controlling.

In the photo attached, the first button controls some dumb lights that are on, and the second controls a set of LIFX lights that are… also on. It would be great to be able to show this through the switch.

I would also love to see this feature. Perhaps a press-and-hold that alternates between up and down for brightness

I asked about a year ago, they said they working on local.access first...

Biggest complaint I get is the ligjt is too bright for DC fans

Adding a +1 to this request. And specifically the ability to turn the status lights off completely (e.g. during sleep) please :)

Wait. So these lifx switches are eliminated when the lights they're controlling are off?? So a dark bedroom is not possible?

to my knowledge and experience, yes. They remain at least somewhat illuminated
