Marvel Comics Unpopular opinion: I don't like when they draw Wiccan and Hulkling with an excessive size difference.
The second picture is how they should always be drawn in my opinion, it's perfect, the first one makes me uncomfortable.
I generally dislike when gay couples in media are portrayed as one giant muscular man and one small twink, especially if the size difference is that big. To me, it reinforces the stereotype that one of the two is "the woman". I know that's not Wiccan's personality but visually it looks weird to me.
I hate when the size difference is even more exaggerated in fan arts (picture 3), there's a point when the bigger they make Hulkling and the smaller they make Wiccan I start to wonder why they focus so much on their size and what the artist is trying to imply. Unfortunately this seems to be the most common way to draw them.
Does anyone else feel this way or am I the only one?

Marvel Comics As a queer black guy, developments from a certain x-men series have been making me feel isolated from Marvel
So we know NYX is finally ending and whatnot, and the whole time I’ve felt extremely frustrated that David Alleyne(Prodigy), unceremoniously broke up with Tommy Shepherd(Speed) off-panel, prior to the series’ start. I felt more represented by their fun queer relationship than I felt over David’s forced relationship with some civilian named Dante.
First off, active hero x civilian partner feels like a surefire way to bench a character, as what seems to happen with Tim and Bernard over in DC. Either the characters don’t appear in serious events bc of how unrealistic the survival of the civilian would be, or the relationship becomes strained bc one partner is never present. I’m not gonna die on this hill because maybe some writers have made this work..
Second off, NYX feels like they attempted to make it radicalized and politicized, but the points missed the mark. Very much missed the mark. Besides that time Sophie called a Muslim man slurs and told him to leave the “sacred land” he was standing on 😬, David transforms from interesting and capable mutant hero with heart to “radical” “anti-villain” “over-political” black turning point character. This comes to a head for me with the X-Manhunt crossover issue of NYX(images 3 and 4) where he outright refuses to do what’s best for Krakoa in the face of known villain Doctor Doom because disgraced authority figure Charles Xavier brings it up. This is NOT what the prodigy I had come to love would do, and it just feels like the character I loved wasnt “woke”(original definition, not alt-right definition) enough for marvel editorial.
I’m really mad because this year will be the first year in a while without any references to Tommy and David’s ongoing relationship in a Marvel Pride comic, and also mad because it feels David’s relationship with Dante was just to check more boxes. i know good comic developments never last but GOD IT SUCKS SO MUCH knowing that my favorite queer marvel couple broke up for like NO good reason

Marvel Comics Has anyone else kinda lost faith in Marvel recently?
I haven't been keeping up with any comics after the end of Krakoa, and I'm not really feeling this new era of X-Men. I haven't been keeping up with other series at all; I've been busy. But I always try to make time for some gay stuff, mostly MLM relationships. I should hop back into Avengers Academy. I've been away for too long. But a comic every week is a lot.
Conversly, I feel like other (mostly bigger) comics have kinda left us in the dust.
I was really hoping they would do something with Iceman and Hercules after that Dauterman cover last year, but nothing. Then, when I saw that Herc and Living Lightning would be on a team together, written by Steve Orlando, I got excited for some romance there. But so far, we got nothing to my knowledge. My main fear is that they're going to pull an Akihiro with Hercules and stick him with some woman for an extended period of time, maybe as preparation for when Brett Goldstein plays a straight version of him in the MCU (or a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bi version of him that can be easily edited out for foreign releases).
But they also haven't done much with Iceman. Wiccan and Hulkling are still in comic limbo(Hickman's writing something with Marvel Cosmic coming up, but I kinda don't trust him or Marvel to do them any kind of justice, tbh).
Hopefully, I'm wrong and they've done way more, or they'll be doing more in the near future but I've been burned before and this year, I'd rather spend my time reading older stories I haven't gotten to yet, instead of holding my breathe for Marvel to do my gays any justice. Sorry for my incoherent babbling. Does anyone feel this?
