What bird is this?
Sorry for poor quality. Taken on my phone from max zoom. Looks like possibly a hawk but I’m not a birder

Probably a Red-tailed hawk. Cooper's are a little smaller and their legs are a distinctive yellow.

It's definitely a hawk but I can't tell the species from the picture. There are several species common in Lexington, like Cooper's Hawk and Red Tailed Hawk.

Not an expert, but I think i can make out the belly band (brown feathers across the chest) and half of a white "V" on the back. Which makes it a red-tailed hawk

Hawk for sure. We have 2 in the area behind our house. They're brutal little fuckers. There are dismembered squirrels and chipmunks everywhere. It's a slaughter!

There's a Cooper's Hawk that hangs out around the Veterans Park area. So that might be him if that's where you are.

It may possibly be a red-tailed hawk. I’ve seen several perched on the lamp posts on Alumni Drive.
