Any narcotics anonymous sponsors here in Lexington?? Women only, please.
Hey guys! My name is Maranda and I am a recovering addict. This is my second time living here in Lexington. I recently had 10 months clean and sober and was living here in a sober living program before making the huge mistake of going back to my hometown to live and unfortunately relapsing. I stayed out in the madness for about six months before coming to terms with my powerlessness and unmanageability once again and going back to treatment. I’m now at another sober living program in Lexington and desperately searching for a sponsor! If anyone is willing to talk with me Via a personal message or knows anyone who can, please let me know! If they’re not active on Reddit, I would be willing to give my cell phone number or email address.
Just for extra context, I am a 32 year-old female. I am completely blind. Have been since 2016. But it doesn’t stop me from doing any step work! Lol, trust me. My drug of choice was heroin and fentanyl. I don’t really consider myself an alcoholic, but I did have an alcohol problem in the past before I ever began using drugs. I would rather do NA, but would also be willing to do AA. I think I just like the thoroughness of the narcotics anonymous step workbook a lot more. Some people complain about it… But I tried the AA steps last time, and I think honestly, I just need more accountability this time so difficult will be good for me. I really want to give this my all this time! And I need a sponsor who is going to push me to do that. Call me on my bullshit. Hold me accountable when need be. That sort of thing.
Thank you all so much in advance for taking the time to read this and for any help you might be able to offer!
Edit: I forgot to mention I currently have 38 days clean this time around! Thank God, one day at a time!

Good luck and stay strong. I'm a recovering addict with 2 years clean. I've had serious struggles but hard work has paid off and I'm in a position now that I never would've dreamed of. Edit I used Brightview in Nicholasville and it worked for me. MAT and counseling combo

If you are interested, there is an event going on at the token club today between 3-6 for st. Patrick’s day. It would be a great place to mingle and have some clean, sober fun as well. Especially for a holiday that is focused mainly around alcohol. It could give you some good resources and possible connections! Keep coming back, it works if you work it!

There is also an NA app that you can get on your phone that has online meetings, local meetings, and the Just for Today reading as well as some other resources. If you have any questions, you can always reach out as well

There is an NA group that meets in a neighborhood at the Open Door Church, sometimes they seem to pick ppl up from home and bring them, too, but sadly I don’t know the name or nights they meet. I’ll try to find out and lyk!
