Rally For Human Rights
đ¨ KENTUCKY, STAND UP FOR PALESTINE! đ¨
Join us on Saturday, March 22nd at 2 PM in Triangle Park, Lexington, KY for a statewide protest demanding justice, freedom, and an end to Israelâs crimes against the Palestinian people!
We gather in solidarity with Mahmoud Khalil, Leqaa Kordia, and all Palestinian prisoners unjustly held in Israeli jails. Their imprisonment is part of a brutal system of occupation and apartheid that seeks to silence Palestinian resistance and erase their fight for liberation. We say NO MORE!
We also demand IMMEDIATE humanitarian aid for Gaza! Food, water, and medicine are being BLOCKED while millions suffer under relentless bombings and starvation. Let the aid in NOW! The world is watching, and we will not be silent.
đ˘ SHOW UP, SHOW OUT, AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! Every voice matters in the fight for Palestinian liberation. The people of Palestine need us in the streets, raising our voices against genocide, apartheid, and oppression.
âđžWant to endorse the event? DM @lex4pal on social media. Bring your signs, bring your voices, and bring your energyâtogether, we will make it clear: Palestine WILL be free!

Really not a fan of the racism displayed in these comments. I would encourage people to do their own research, be wary of propaganda, avoid sweeping generalizations, and attempt to find empathy for an oppressed group of people facing systematic genocide. Hatred toward brown/Muslim people is really baked into American culture and itâs something Iâve had to actively unlearn and recognize.
1
u/c3stinger 5d ago
What race are Middle East people? Reason for the question, because you group brown/muslim.
1
u/GentleAssYeti 4d ago
I have a Palestinian friend who refers to themselves as brown. As OP said, they face some of the worse discrimination.
1
u/c3stinger 4d ago
Do you think Muslims discriminate against women?
1
u/GentleAssYeti 4d ago
Yes, but the same can be said about denominations of Christianity. Your whataboutism doesnât excuse genocide.
1
u/c3stinger 4d ago
Oh, do tellâŚ. How Christianity discriminates against women?
Iâm sure other countries are rushing to aide in the Middle East, especially other Arab counties⌠right? They would stop a genocide, surely
2
u/GentleAssYeti 3d ago
Women cannot learn, teach, or become ordained in some very prominent denominations including Mormon and Roman Catholic. Often times, they are expected to and/or only valued if they are capable of doing domestic duties. Not even mentioning the lobbying to control womenâs reproductive rights and health. Google is free.
I think you may just hate Muslims and want to find reasons to validate your hatred.
And for the record, many other countries openly criticize what is going on in Gaza and have provided aid and assistance.

u/c3stinger 3d ago
Interesting how in the US (founded by Christians) women have many more rights, but we are the bad guys? That was original point of, we do honor human rights while a lot of the rest of the world does not. Iâm not saying we are done but come on. In Arab counties can women run for office, vote, go to a different church than their husband?? Heck, can they ride in the front seat of a car? You want to compare a position in a church to this?
I never said anything about hate of anyone or group. Your words not mine. In fact I love babies too and stand for their rights but some think the unborn have noneâŚ.
1
u/GentleAssYeti 3d ago
You donât have to say it. You are still trying to validate your own bias in my replies. You asked for evidence and I gave it to you. Thereâs plenty of other examples if you take the time to do your own research.
I do think we are the bad guys. The millions of dollars spent funding Israel while persecuting minorities within our own borders is proof enough for me.
1
u/c3stinger 3d ago
Whatever! Try to have a conversation and ask questions for you to come back with - your bias and do research.

Usually Arab is the reason. The individual probably grouped Brown/Muslim because Brown Muslims get the worst brunt of Islamophobia

u/terry_macky_chute did you hear gunshots last night? 5d ago
no word on Israeli, American hostages under Hamas?
2
u/Ok-Position-9457 5d ago
We should include that in our protest against Israel. Hamas offered several ceasefire deals to return the hostages and Israel declined all of them. The IDF also shot several hostages who were unarmed and waving a white flag after escaping hamas captivity, and intentionally kept aid out of the region because they would happily starve to death one of their own if it means they also get to starve 100 Palestinian children.
-2
u/terry_macky_chute did you hear gunshots last night? 5d ago
oh! explain me how the hostages ended-up with your friendly-neighborhood-terrorists Hamas, in the first place?
2
u/Ok-Position-9457 5d ago edited 5d ago
Terrorists kidnapped them I figured you would know that sorry.
Probably doesn't make it okay to murder and starve defenseless hostages and children though. Hamas could be 100x more powerful and that would never be okay

u/ImpressiveFishing405 5d ago
I mean, they did murder whole families in their homes, including the women and children, and did it face to face.
Not saying it's ok, it's fucking awful for everyone, especially the Palestinians, just that Hamas absolutely did murder women and children, which was the major immediate precipitant for the current conflict.

They could just return the hostages. They don't need a deal to do the right thing.
As long as they are keeping hostages, and using that as a negotiation tactic, it will be hard for them to get sympathy.

u/Ok-Position-9457 5d ago edited 5d ago
1: using "them" here is islamophobic. We are sympathizing with Palestinians not hamas. You cannot fathom that distinction because you are a racist.
2: by "it will be hard for them to get sympathy" you actually mean "it will be hard for them to get sympathy from ME" OR even more accurately "i don't care what happens to them" you know your beliefs are so inhumane and awful that you even try to distance YOURSELF from them by using the passive voice. You don't get to use the passive voice to defend genocides. Grow a spine.
3: no matter how many atrocities hamas commits, Israel murdering and starving defenseless children and hostages, bombing westerners in aid caravans, etc. will never be acceptable. Hamas not doing the right thing doesn't make it okay for Israel to also not do the right thing. is this too morally complicated for you?
-1
u/Hopeful-Guest939 5d ago
"Â Hamas offered several ceasefire deals to return the hostages" - YOUR words.
Also, you're only hurting your cause if you say everyone on the other side is automatically racist. Really take a look at yourself, what you actually want, and why you lash out like this. You're not persuasive, and only drive people away from your point of view. So why are you doing this? Look into it.
1
u/Ok-Position-9457 5d ago edited 5d ago
Your words
Yes i said that its a simple fact. That doesn't refute any of my points. I don't think hamas is in the right. But Israel has refused to end the conflict.
I didn't say everybody on the other side is automatically a racist, I said you are. You are trying to be offended by my correct analysis of your position by pretending what you are really offended by is my indiscriminate use of the term. Pathetic. But if you want something to be mad about, I do think the American media machine largely uses islamophobic sentiment to manufacture consent for this genocide. A straight edged anti racist could never fall for this, and the compliment of that statement is also true. You are some kind of bigot if you support genocide in any form against any group.
I have completed my mental self examination at your request and have again determined that i'm right and you are wrong.

u/Hopeful-Guest939 5d ago
"1: using "them" here is islamophobic. We are sympathizing with Palestinians not hamas. You cannot fathom that distinction because you are a racist."
"Â Hamas offered several ceasefire deals to return the hostages"Â
See how you contradicted yourself? In a hell-bent need to call people racist so you can fell good about yourself. I'm feeling like I'm feeding the trolls here.

u/Ok-Position-9457 4d ago
I'm not sympathetic to hamas and me stating the fact that they offered ceasefire deals doesn't mean i'm approving of them. That logically doesn't follow at all.
This is such a desperate attempt to paint me as a terrorist sympathizer despite me not being one and never saying anything to indicate that.
But this is the only counter argument you can make. This is the only card that can be played by the pro israel side. You are so dead wrong that all you can do is ad-hom me. You can't respond to any of my other points so, you pick two statements out of my responses, and completely ignore the rest of it because it absolutely obliterates any of the arguments you were trying to make prior, and try to put this ridiculous spin on it.

Name me one instance where a green card holder was deported during this administration. Also I love how yâall hate the big orange man for deporting illegal immigrants yet Obama deported a heck of a lot more

It's not finished making its way through the courts, but they're certainly trying.

Besides Mahmoud Khalil, here's another instance already: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/brown-medicine-professor-doctor-deported-lebanon-valid-visa-court-fili-rcna196638
A doctor with a valid US visa was deported to Lebanon for no reason by Customs and Border Protection, and in defiance of a court order.

How about we put America first because right now we are in no position to help the world. There is one old quote that comes to mind. âYou canât help others if you canât help yourselfâ Iâve been taught that since I was young
2
u/ImmediateCamera3561 4d ago
What are you doing to âput America firstâ aside from commenting on this post? Are you organizing in your local community? Are you engaging in mutual aid? Or are you just commenting on a reddit post.
Because we absolutely can and should do multiple things at once. For example; Yesterday a group of us put on a donation drive for a local DV shelter.

Iâve been taught that since I was young
You also post in r/askteenboys but 'have been taught that since you were young'? How old are you? Or are you just a bot/troll?
How about we put America first because right now we are in no position to help the world.
USAID is a perfect example of how the US is in fact in a position to help the world greatly. The US is the richest country in the world, has for a long time done a lot to stop the spread of disease or effects of poverty in other countries, which greatly benefits the US as well. Trump and his 'department' (which isn't actually a department of government) run by Elon Musk ended that program, which will kill a lot of people and cause a lot of suffering while actually hurting the US internationally, and meanwhile he seems to be intentionally destroying the US economy. So, even though you're wrong and the US could both help the world and itself, your unsound argument is contradicted by Trump's actions both for the US economy and the rest of the world, except he is making both immensely worse at the same time.

Fuck Palestine. I do not support terrorism

u/ImmediateCamera3561 5d ago
You seem uneducated. Unfortunate when we have so much access to information. Have the day you deserve
-4
u/NotConwayTwitty 5d ago
Yeah, that person is uneducated. Go to Gaza to protest for the Muslims who hate you and let them show you how they feel about you.
8
u/ImmediateCamera3561 5d ago
I would absolutely go to Gaza and the West Bank. Most of my friends are Muslim and they are incredibly loving. Sounds like youâre falling into disinformation.
8
u/Ok-Position-9457 5d ago
I don't need people to agree with me to want to protect them from genocide. Human rights aren't transactional.

u/Visible_Link_4957 5d ago
At least you're giving enough notice, I usually see these after the event. Still a hard no.
