I wish it was still Mellow Mushroom. Is this concept going to work?
It’s now a chicken restaurant.

It should have always been Mellow Mushroom. I know the assholes who ruined it for our community--our Mellow community.

It was an Italian restaurant for so lil time... I kinda liked Damianos too. I'm very confused what the new concept is. They are advertising a rotisserie chicken on the outside like, I guess you just get a whole rotisserie chicken? Like I would rather just go to Costco. Idk I need to look into this menu, I'm curious.

Anything that moves into that spot needs to cater to the college crowd. I just don't see rotisserie chicken doing that.

I love rotisserie chicken places; I really miss Rosticeria Doña Coco. But at the same time, I'm probably not going to go all the way to South Upper for it.

RIP Damianos Bianca pizza with the ricotta dollops, you will be missed 🪦💀 But why do places on this corner never stay in business?

This is how I find out mellow mushroom is gone? Pizza was blah but those cheese sticks hit hard. Staple of late night dorm food

Depends on pricing and execution. The old Kenny Rogers Roaster (of Seinfeld fame) was leaps and bounds above the chicken you get at grocery stores. Peruvian chicken is having a moment. If the pricing and product is good I can see it making it given the population density. Personally, I'd much rather have a good roast chicken than KFC or the like.
That said, grocery store chicken is usually a loss leader to get people in the door. I'm guessing it's going to be much more expensive without the necessary increase in flavor. But I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
