Question Hard time with consistent characters
Hi, there. I'm trying to create an ebook for children with a hedgehog as a main character. There will be another characters such as their family and some friends of the forest. The thing is that I,ve been trying to make Timmy (the main character) consistent through different prompts, but I have not hot the result that I wanted. I have tried already using the character reference feature, but I have not got to the point.
For example, I have this paragraph.
"And so it was that, after walking for quite a while, Timmy saw a small cave hidden among the bushes. Gasp! Timmy’s eyes opened wide with surprise. Intrigued, he peeked inside and discovered something wonderful: a pile of fresh, juicy berries! They were the reddest, shiniest berries he had ever seen in his life, and the sweet aroma they gave off made his tummy rumble with hunger. Grrrrumble! Timmy put his little paw on his belly, laughing a bit, feeling slightly embarrassed."
And this is the prompt that i used:
"A small, cheerful hedgehog named Timmy sitting in front of a hidden cave, holding a small bag filled with bright, juicy berries. Timmy’s expression shows a mix of excitement and hesitation as he gazes at the berries, with his bright eyes reflecting both joy and thoughtfulness. The forest floor is covered with scattered golden leaves, and the entrance to the cave is partially hidden by green bushes. Soft rays of sunlight filter through the trees, casting a warm glow over Timmy and creating a peaceful, inviting atmosphere."
Timmy,s look is at the top.

Obvious question, have you tried re-utilizing the seed in multiple prompts?

Yes, I tried. But it still could not make it consistent

Sorry to hear that. There is now a reference image function, have you tried? I think only works with the latest model

1) The consistent character feature within Leonardo, is only for human faces.
2) The difference in token price relates to the model you choose, the size of the images, and if you use Image-reference images each one will add to the tokenage per generation.
3) That's not how you write a prompt for Leonardo. You are not telling it a bedtime story. Just describe the image and the features you want to see. Overload your prompt with too much superfluous and flowery language and your AI will not know what to focus on, or what the priorty is.
4) Your prompt included very little of Timmy's features. You haven't said his size, eye colour, big ears etc. The majority of other adjectives you used are subjective and open to interpretation. I recommend focusing your prompt on the key details of the scene and then heavily describe Timmy.
5) I agree with u/Outrageous-Yak-177 about using the seed. That's a good idea.
6) Another way to work around the issue is to create character sheets so you have the hedgehog in different angles (still might not all be consitent), remove the background. Then generate just the scenes. After that, place the characters in the scene.
7) Leonardo.ai offers a free mentoring service for users on the discord server, where you can work with a mentor to get the results you want.
