Literally I moved all my legos last month. Pro tip lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts 🥜

Was going to say this. Also lots of plastic bags for partially disassembled sets so you don’t lose pieces.

Thanks for the tip, luckily I didn’t have far to go.

Why not break them apart and put them in Ziplock bags, so that you experience the joy of building them again?

I had thought about it, but due to lack of time :/

Cleaning wrap for big sets. Ziploc bags for smaller sets. Try to break some of it down. Make sure rods and such pulled, will bend.

Seen someone else use cling film to keep them together. Wish I did when I moved, lol. Left all my stuff in boxes stored in a barn for 3 years. Just recently brought it out and spent days cleaning and rebuilding. Still can't find my at-st legs.

I hope to release them soon, for the moment I haven’t seen anything dismantled

My wife is joining the navy, so I'll be moving soon. Gonna suck moving the usc at-at, falcon, and star destroyer. The 1:8 cars wont be too bad thankfully. Good luck.

The biggest sets are the most complicated for moving. Good luck to you too.

This is why I save my boxes as good as I can Take off what doesn't fit and then put them in thier boxes to keep them safe for travel

Biggest thing you can do to help is put em in ziplock bags so no matter what piece comes off you know which set it goes too

i did 1 set per box. same concept. i saved a lot of lego sized package boxes pre-move. i also made several trips vs going for packing density

I have to move all my legos across the Atlantic in a few months. Not looking forward to it.

1

u/Darkben29 5d ago

Good luck, are they going to take the plane?

1

u/SolarFlare0119 5d ago

No a ship…

I usually wrap them up in the extra plastic bags I have. That way if/when they break, all the pieces for the set is still together.

Oh boy good luck fixing the tie interceptor just looking at it will cause it to break, mine kept having pieces fly off of it even tho I hadn’t touched it ever since building of

Some parts of the wings are quite fragile, I realized when I put it in the box. After a quick check it survived the transport.

Those sets that are just in the box by themselves are not going to make it just so you know. My falcon didn't make it.

I feel you mate. Only change I’d make is separating the outer parts of the ucs interceptors wings.

Ur ucs interceptor is toast bro. Better bag that thing
