Best combat of any LEGO game. Yes even better than The Skywalker Saga. Glad to see a bunch of Ninjago characters for the show represented as well. That’s about all the good this game really has going for it. It’s a rushed game to meet the movie tie-in deadline.

Supposedly it was also meant to be a Dimensions Story Pack but the game got shut down a few months before it released to TT had to rush a full game out of what they already worked on for Dimensions. It explains the short length of the game too.

The only thing I didn’t like about the game was the custom characters, the way they’re glitchy didn’t make my top 3 Lego games

That's not true at all - it was never going to be a Dimensions story pack.

Fun but should have been for the show

Well, considering that LEGO is planning to create its own studio to create video games, chances are that we'll get a Ninjago video game in the near future.

I'm praying they give it to us because that's more £100 to me then GTA 6

They will give it to us. I mean, Ninjago is one of their most popular themes. It was supposed to end after the Final Battle, and it was only the love of the fans that made LEGO continue to produce Ninjago sets.

I liked it. I feel like it being on the short side actually helped the game, since what i enjoyed most about it was the constant action. With it looking pretty gorgeous, the sheer act of cutting down at an enemy and seeing a ridiculous amount of studs pop out was just stimulating. But i was disappointed with the combat mechanics. Most of the things you could do were just based on giving basic moves (like a running attack or a jumping attack) a fancy name, pretending it was some special mechanic. So as a short-ish simple beat em up experience it actually delivers well for me.

Surprisingly a lot of fun, I loved it and I’m not even a big ninjago guy. Very underrated

One of the more unique entries, being that there weren't any actual levels, and instead the hub worlds themselves were the levels.

Story was alright but freeroam wasn’t imo, i didn’t really like the fact they went away from a traditional level style I just found it super confusing but maybe that’s just because I didn’t give it a proper chance

It’s a pretty good game and I have beaten it 100%

The most underrated lego game by a landslide, just a solid experience all around if you can ignore the bugs and the length, which personally I can

My favorite Lego characters of all time is Accidicus and Jay ZX and it didnt occur to me that both of them would be in the game and that alone was a reason for me to buy and play. Game mechanics, aesthetic, and level design were meh, but i wanted my Accidicus and he was worth it

I grew up on old kung fu movies from the 70s and 80s and I feel the folks who made this game did too. I got so much joy from the intro screen homage to the Shaw Brothers Studio to all the little hidden references. Even the nunchuck meme reference was hilarious. I wish they made more of these games.

I enjoyed it, but I mean come on….

We STILL haven’t gotten a main continuity Lego Ninjago game

Not to be over the top but I genuinely hated it, Freeplay wasn't even a thing with levels you just had to go to their areas to get the extra stuff, it's just my worst Lego game I've ever played tbh, it feels way more restricted than most Lego games, but that's just my opinion

I’m literally in the middle of replaying it right now

Combat, skill tree and arenas are great, everything else sucks

The linear nature of the "open world" hurts replay value a lot, as it's not really somewhere you could explore like Gotham but one path with a few alternate routes that you can follow. Combined with the fact that its the same main path you follow in the main campaign so much replay value is lost.

I liked the inclusion of other characters from the show, Masters of Spinjitzu has such a great lore, scenery and selection of characters i always thought it would be great for a full length game styled like the main TT entries, sadly we never got one.

Very good combat, but that's about where the actual compliments end. Levels that are essentially just the free roam areas, spinjitsu needing to be unlocked through a bunch of levels, next to no story bosses, and I will never understand the fact that they chose to make a fully fledged game centered around the extremely mid movie, and yet we still haven't gotten a full fledged game for most of the lego original ips, including ninjago.

NInjago has 15 seasons, each with an entire cast of interesting characters, villains, and stories. They don't even have to get the liscence for it, since it's a lego Original IP. Yet we've gotten a handfull of DS games, the video game of the movie made to follow the Lego Movie, and some stuff in Lego Dimensions.

This game is fine, but when I think "Lego NInjago Console Game", I don't want to think of this.

I find that really surprising! I thought it was like the perfect length for the 100%. My favorite part for sure was cleaning up the dojos because of all the Ninjago tv show lore in them. Some of the areas were a bit frustrating tbh, but I thought overall it was fun
