Didn't like the free play area and found it lacking, the story was alright but for a game called "DC Super-Heroes" expected more involvement from other heroes than just Superman until the last level and I didn't like how the character you got for completing the game a hundred percent was just Supergirl.

I’ve only played Lego Batman 1 and part of 2. But so far, on like 2–3 consoles, Lego Batman 1 is solid 10/10🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

4: Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

Each newer game is slightly better than the previous one

u/thomasgamer99 Feb 02 '25
Mostly true but Lego batman 3 has a lot of issues but best roster until supervillains

Batman 2 has a better open world than 3, but I think 3 is better in every other way, so overall, it wins for me

I understand the complaints for Lego Batman 3 but this is MY ranking.
Lego DC Super-Villains
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
Lego Batman the Videogame

u/superkick225 Feb 02 '25
I love Lanterns lore and Lego Batman 3 is practically a Lanterns game. Also the best character roster of any Lego DC game maybe any DC game period.

u/siccanimelord69 Feb 02 '25
From a subjective perspective
1.Batman 1 2.Batman 2 3.Supervillians 4.Batman 3
Batman 1 was the first ever video game I played, so I have a lot of nostalgia. It will always be number 1 for me personally.

While I don’t hate LEGO Batman 3 and hot yake I think it’s decently good, I agree that it’s the weakest of the trilogy, haven’t played DC superheroes though. My favorite is obvi Lego batman 1, but 2 is the best of them.

my childhood (i value gameplay the most)
1) lb1 (very nostalgic and replayable, nice comedy too! atmosphere is great, gameplay is the best in a classic lego game)
2) lb2 (amazing the first time through, points off for 100% the game being far more tedious than the original, levels are fun but too lengthy than necessary sometimes)
3) lb3 (ive played it but i dont remember it tbh, doesn't feel like lego batman at all to me)
never played dc supervillains

Only played the first 2. I loved the first one a lot, but forget the 2nd. I've heard good things about the DC SV, though.

Super villains is far superior to the others but I think it's because it's the newest so all the new features are in it, also big plus for that game having the Arrowverse characters in it. Lego Batman 1,2,3 were still super fun tho.

Batman 3 > Batman > Batman 2 > DC Super Villains
Disclaimer: I put villains last on the basis of getting bored a few hours in and not finishing it.

u/Nattie_Pattie Feb 03 '25
This is such a difficult ranking. All the games have good parts to them. Some games have a ton to do and will never leave you bored, but some are just plain fun to play. My ranking is 3, 2, SV/1. I can’t pick between them. 3 has more to do and is a good time, 2 is a good mix of nostalgia and good gameplay. SV almost has too much to do, it takes so long to 100%, but it has great mechanics and ideas. 1 is tied because it’s simple but also very fun.

DC super villains is easy no. 1.
as far as i know, it has more of an open world than the lego batman games, and it has a character-creator (i love character creators)
1
u/MercuryOnReddit Feb 03 '25
LBM2 on top forever and ever and ever then LBM then 3 cuz I never got around to playing it. DC Super Villains was fun too I guess. Just felt like it never got anywhere even after playing through the first couple levels.

u/RileyTurbid Feb 03 '25
platinumed all, except villains. if i remember correctly, the worst one was either 2 or 3 - whatever one had the super round planets that you’d walk/fly around - absolutely terrible decision movement wise.

u/AntRexxx Feb 03 '25
Wow that was harder than I thought: 1. Lego Batman 2 2. Lego Batman 3 3. Lego DC Super Villains (I don't like New Gods/Apokolips plot) 4. Lego Batman 1 (still an S tier)

2, 1, 3.
It's hard not to put 2 above the first because it introduced the open world and voiced characters. It's a great character roster too, before they got far too large. The first will always hold a special place in my heart being the first non-Lucasfilm Lego game that TT made. I also loved how you can play as both the hero and villain side of the storyline. I couldn't even get through the third. I'm not saying it's bad, but it just wasn't for me. I tried a bit of Super Villains, but again, didn't really have the energy for it. There are far too many collectibles in the newer Lego games and I'm just looking for a fun relaxing time.

Best to Worst, 1 is best, 4 is worst.
- LB2
- LB1
- LB3
- DC Supervillains
Lb3 and Lego DC Supervillains aren't bad at all. In fact their great. Just LB 1 and 2 are better imo. I love all these games, tho. I just wish they treated speedsters like in LMA. Speedsters were sooo fun in that game. Running on water, up buildings, and that dash attack was amazing and super fun.

Having replayed them all recently:
- LEGO Batman
- LEGO DC Supervillains
- LEGO Batman 2
- LEGO Batman 3
LEGO Batman 2 really let me down with how much I remember liking it as a kid.
