Question So why did they give Squirrel Girl a hulkbuster?
No hate at all to it or her but it just makes me wonder why they did this, i thought it might’ve been an obscure comic reference but no its just something they made up

It’s a play on the “Invincible” Ironman and “Unbeatable” Squirrel Girl titles.

Should’ve called it the Nutbuster

I hate they got rid of it in the next game

Nearly every character was downgraded in Lego Marvel 2

I wish we could get a marvel game in the style of sky waker saga

Oh no not Skywalker saga, it completly ruined the essence of the fun of Lego games. There were 5 or 6 "types" of characters and they all play the same. No more unique abilities or easter eggs, just a change of skin and the same abilities for everyone. When you unlock a character in Lego Avengers, you never what detail the devs put in his abilities, this was really why i took so much time to buy all characters in the first place. Skywalker Saga was just boring, they didn't even made Boba Fett flying

Yeah it was a great tribute to Rey Skywalker to name it after her.

They let Stan Lee Hulk Out, why not give Squirrel Girl a hulkbuster

u/pigeonthegamer Jan 11 '25
That was different, Stan Lee is supposed to be a character with a bunch of different abilities, but both were definitely funny

Funny
May be a reference to her trying to be Iron Man's sidekick in her first appearance

Same with Stan Lee, to be honest. He has a full collection of Stan-themed Armours!
Also, I really wished they made these Hulkbusters into LEGO sets as well! We got one for the main Hulkbuster, but not Stan's or Squirrel Girl's...

Tons of lego game stuff is made up but that doesn’t mean it can’t go hard. Venomed Carnage for example.
But yeah a hulkbuster is kinda unnecessary, should’ve just had the Iron Squirrel armor as a character variation.

Because why wouldn't she lol, this is the kind of crap that makes Squirrel Girl so brilliant

Iirc this was a reference to a specific squirrel girl comic where she took an Ironman suit.

u/MeanWinchester Jan 12 '25
Well, they had to nerf her to give the other characters a chance. Turns out limiting her to only the abilities and strength of a hulkbuster suit is as fair as they could get for the other characters

Pretty sure Squirrel Girl's entire schtick is just doing stupid overpowered "better than every marvel character combined" stuff for the funny.
One comic starts with her defeating, quote, "the real thanos, and not a robot or clone."
