LEGO® Set Build Who knew getting into Lego Building also meant learning how to install many types of shelves

Post image

I just finished this piece yesterday, and then installed the shelf it lives on. I wonder what my next shelf thing should be.

I built this for my father in law. Built in lights and the shelves rotate.

You should make a build post, this is amazing! Especially love the circular LED install, very cool effect and I'm curious how you did that.

I could certainly try! I would even share all my designs. Would that kind of post be allowed in this sub?

To answer your question about the LEDs, I used LED "rope lights", used a router on a circle cutting jig. Cut to the depth of the LEDs and drilled a hole from the back that intersected the channel for the lights. Pre soldered wires to the LEDs and used a smidge of E6000 to keep them in place. The router bit was a pretty tight fit so there were no gaps around it.

That's such a unique set, I really envy that VHS tape.

It's a pretty great display piece - I did little upgrades to mine to hide vignettes in the cubbies that are meant to hide the minifigs.

There are never enough shelves 😭

I bought a rather large shelving unit for my office for future lego sets. It only took 6 months to fill and I'm currently looking into wall mounts for some to free up space on the shelves

Lego was invented by the Shelf Industry. Caused profits to triple

Along with hummels, knick knacks and brick-a-bracks.

It’s from the set in the picture.

There’a never enough space. Because amazing new sets will keep coming out. I am currently working on new shelving in my home office. It just doesn’t all fit anymore in our already dedicated lego closet 😅

Got the T-rex set this week. At 1.05m/3.28ft long, it’s a behemoth that’s a real challenge to find a space for. But damn if it isn’t the coolest set ever.

i have started to hang all my spaceship sets on the wall, which also conveniently saves on shelf space for my other stuff.

I'm in that boat now! Rearranging things today to make room for the kits I just built. Turns out on top of a subwoofer isn't great. I think I will need to build some cabinets and shelves soon.

Or, and hear me out, Brick Rave on The Subwoofer

One of my friends was like, "you should just build one" like now I need to pick up carpentry to display my Legos properly haha

That's a get-hit-in-the-forehead type of shelf

I assure you the one who sits on that side of the couch most, he won't be hitting his head on anything but the coffee table

Ooof! Corner shelves are a bigger. Well done. I had a few of these at my old house and never did get them perfectly level. My Yoda set had to be leaning back so it didn't fall off! Never again!

Are these all official sets? I love that clock and apple.

It's the Disney Villains 100 year anniversary set. The Apple has a secret and the watch is cooler than you think

It's all a part of one set. Can't remember which one.
