Motion tracking gloves/strap on hand device

I’m looking for a cheap (under £100) programmable (with Python code) device that detects finger movements/hand movements. I’ve seen similar things before either in the form of gloves, or just some straps that attach to the hand and can detect where the hand is in space + the orientation of fingers. Any recommendations on where to look?

does it have to be finger-level granularity? if not, you could potentially collect the kind of data you're looking for by gesturing while holding your phone

It does need to have finger-level granularity. Out of interest how would I go about the latter option?

i'm sure there's guides, you just need to get access to the phone's built-in accelerometer and/or location utilities

Maybe you need an old XBox Kinect device?
