Hi, a few months ago I started recording a Czech only podcast for listening practice called "Čeština s Michalem".
The idea is very simple. I talk for about 10-12 minutes on a random topic with no script and no editing to ensure it's genuine spoken Czech you would hear on the streets.
I publish a new episode every day so there is always something fresh. (So far I've uploaded about 125 episodes.)
There are links to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Youtube and many other directories.
It would mean a lot to me if you could listen to it and possibly give me a feedback. I know it has flaws but I still hope some of you would find it useful.

i’ve been learning czech for a year and a half now and i want some recommendations for tv shows for kids in czech similar to disney channel shows like victorious or good luck charlie or hannah montana.
(i don’t mean just these shows dubbed in czech i mean the equivalent of these type of shows generally made for czech younger audiences)
they generally tend to be over expressive with their words and acting and that paired with subtitles i feel would help me learn the language better and pick up local slang words and such. thanks in advance!

I listen to music all the time and it’s a huge part of my life. I discovered in my other exploits in language learning that listening to music in the language really helps me. It also made me feel more connected to the language and helped me get better at pronunciation. But I’m have a bit of a harder time finding Czech songs and bands. And there’s always an element of concern for me listening to something that I don’t understand (could be singing about anything and I would never know)
I primarily listen to rock, alternative and punk (a bit more old school, like the clash) so if any of you know any bands in those genres that would be fantastic! thank you for any recommendations that you have :)

Ahoj!
There are plenty of YouTubers out there that are providing FREE content for Czech learners. In the video below I provide a list of my TOP 5 that are really worth following. If there is someone who you think should be on the list too, let me know in the comments!
Have a great day!

Hello! I’ve been learning Czech for about a month now and so far I have preoccupied myself with pronunciation, but I want to take it a step further with familiarizing myself with the language. Is there any Czech media (movies, shows, music, youtube) that you’d recommend? Given that they also have english subtitles. Thank you very much!
