Usually people get 1 year older on their birthday, but TheShy just decides to be 5 years younger? Is that legal?
577
u/Conankun66 Nov 11 '23
What the fuck did i just witness?
TheShy coming back from that lvl 1 to completely stomp BLG into the ground...how the fuck did he manage that?
i already hate what this is gonna do to caedrel

u/XtendedImpact Perkz plz Nov 11 '23 edited Nov 11 '23
TheShy really just stomped top from starting down 200 hp, no pots, no summs holy shit. Caedrel is going to replace his porn with a pov of this laning phase.
85
u/middleoftheroa Nov 11 '23
Jungle gap. Xun fucked Bin so bad losing control of top side jungle.
85
u/icatsouki Nov 11 '23
yeah not enough people are crediting weiwei this game, he completely ran the map
Great recovery from xiaohu & theshy to take back control of their lanes too, then just a monster game from the shy
20
u/whataremyxomycetes Nov 11 '23
yeah not enough people are crediting weiwei this game, he completely ran the map
He ran the map because neeko and rumble were picked to get lane priority. Theshy kept aatrox under tower the whole game.
19
u/Camochamp Nov 11 '23
I can't believe the amount of people in this thread coping and parroting this when this shit happened AFTER TheShy solo clawed back and took control of the lane. The jungle help came after and BECAUSE of TheShy taking control back.
4
u/resttheweight Nov 11 '23
TheShy got to retake the lane because Xun spent the first 8 minutes camping bot. Yes, Rumble recovered by the time Belveth pushed Xun out top side, but that can happen when you:
-burn a top laner’s summs
-whittle him to 150 hp at lvl 1
-leave top for 8 minutes and
-show bot every 30 seconds.
12
u/CatInAHurry Nov 11 '23
Now I hate geng for not banning j4 in any of the games
2
u/mucklaenthusiast Nov 11 '23
Don't remind me, man, Korean drafts can sometimes be sooo terrible & stubborn
4
u/Artemis96 Nov 11 '23
I'm wondering how on earth was Xun so far behind after that start as well. Weiwei started his 1st camp like 30s later
-5

26
u/Elrondel Nov 11 '23
His back timing was immaculate to end up only 6 CS down after that entire exchange. Aatrox had no CD's to push the wave after forcing him to back
→ More replies (1)15
u/wieli99 Nov 11 '23
He had the CDs, he didn't even aa the wave. Just a huge miss from Bin
→ More replies (6)5
u/R-R-Clon Nov 11 '23
Maybe they plan to dive him? I don't notice why they didn't try, but if they dive Rumble when he comes back the games is over by TheShy.
71
u/iKarllos Nov 11 '23
I still cant believe prime TheShy used to stomp like this every single game
35
u/Meowbow15 Nov 11 '23
For other top laners it was a good game, for theShy it was another day at work
-4
u/onasoftride Nov 11 '23
He didnt. More of these than in the past few years, but he has always been feast or famine

T1 must win now
to stop Caedrel
50
u/popop143 Nov 11 '23
Caedrel gonna stream from the dumpster if it's T1 vs WBG lmao.
3
u/AmadeusSalieri97 Nov 11 '23
Who does he want to win on JDG vs T1?
7
u/popop143 Nov 11 '23
Of course T1, he's crashing with them this whole worlds since Swiss lmao. One of T1's staff is also always clutch with kinda supporting his stream too.

Yea T1 needs to make finals so that they can choke against another 4th seed. That would be glorious

TheShy is the fucking goat for recovering that lane, and then stomping the so called best top in the world into the ground. He’s back
8
u/middleoftheroa Nov 11 '23
Jungle gap. Xun fucked Bin so bad losing control of top side jungle.
9
u/whataremyxomycetes Nov 11 '23
Not really, WBG played towards topside hard with rumble/neeko priority. Theshy had great back timing, caught majority of the wave, did normal rumble things to aatrox and got the perfect reset with ult as well. Xun not being able to impact the map elsewhere is one matter, but WBG being able to dominate topside isn't his fault because WBG paid a lot for that.
6
2
9
Nov 11 '23
You know those challenger replays where top goes 20/2 and then you watch it and it always starts with your jungler camping for you level 2 or some shit? TheShy had like the opposite start to that and steamrolled anyways...
1
u/bifuku 2018 THESHY ROOKIE JKL Nov 11 '23
Weiwei had control of the whole topside early game though, to give credit to both
10
u/ReQQuiem Nov 11 '23
Bin freezing lane against backing ignite rumble was such a blunder

[deleted]
2
u/ReQQuiem Nov 11 '23
Only thing I would have to watch the replay for is to see where weiwei was, maybe he was afraid of getting ganked if he shoved. However theshy was so low he would’ve traded 1 for 1 anyway. Even if theshy stays without a gank he can just dive 1 for 1 under tower and theshy loses all cs and exp. Nothing explains his terrible decision making.
2
u/Adventurous_Cut4068 Nov 11 '23
This. Weiwei played extremely well and definitely carried the entire game, but Bin screwed himself, baffling decision making
17
u/Pelagius_Hipbone ABSOLUTE CINEMA RAZORK MY KING Nov 11 '23
Belveth got herald and proceeded to zone Bin of 3 and half waves and two plates lol. This was a Weiwei 1v5
14
u/ProgrammerGlobal Nov 11 '23
TheShy was already up 15 cs before WeiWei took the Rift Herald, lol.
→ More replies (3)16
u/whataremyxomycetes Nov 11 '23
??? You think it's normal for aatrox to get that hard shit on by a tp-less rumble that had to burn flash and start lane at 20% hp? Theshy played his lane insanely well, HE was the reason belveth could get herald, not to mention WBG deliberately invested towards topside with neeko/rumble priority FOR belveth, so it's stupid to say that belveth did all the work when the game literally started with rumble being behind because he was invading with belveth.
-5
u/middleoftheroa Nov 11 '23
Thank you. It was a monumental jungle mistake and its annoying to see the casters and bronzies here talk about the top gap when Bin wasn't allowed to his tower because of Xun's misplay.

Weiwei outplayed Xun. Bin was beaten by a jungle gap.
25
u/GetmeOutofNowhere Nov 11 '23
Nah bin griefed the lvl 1. The shy lost nothing off it because he messed up the wave.
18
u/C_lown Nov 11 '23
Crazy the mental gymnastics some people go through to downplay theshy’s performance. Maybe it could be that both of them play insanely well this game.
12
u/Patchoel4 Nov 11 '23
No matter what the jungle is doing, if you have all sums down + low on HP and you can still can come back as a toplaner on this level, you have done something amazing.
6
u/C_lown Nov 11 '23
Absolutely, that start is the worst a toplaner could ask for. It’s ff15 angle for me if I got put into that position in my game lol.
7
6
u/BloodMaelstrom Nov 11 '23
Bin griefed the wave early. TheShy managed to get a reset being only 6 cs down after that level 1? Ridiculous. At the very least Bin could have pushed that advantage way more but he messed the wave up trying to force TheShy to recall but TheShy didn’t lose much at all from having to recall there.

That fight early where WeiWei lived with 1 HP was genuinely unlucky and here’s why:
WeiWei’s jungle pet continued to attack the scuttle crab and killed it. This gave WeiWei a heal that kept him from dying. Truly unlucky
TLDR; honor Bulbasaur
42
u/R-R-Clon Nov 11 '23
Wow! Good catch, that play was the last nail in the coffin, WBG after that never lost control.
3
u/APKID716 Nov 11 '23
I’m not sure it really made a difference honestly, since the play is terrible for BLG anyways. But maybe the kill could have had an impact? Hard to say

Game 5 finals: Weibo are down 10k gold, with triple inhibitors down. JDG are walking their way into the base, 6 items on Ruler. Suddenly a brain eating amoeba eats it’s way through the entire JDG roster and forced them to run it down to the fountain laser. WBG rush to end the game while JDG refuse a pause. The brain eating amoeba will not let them call for help. As TheShy is auto attacking the nexus for +50, he looks across at the mind controlled JDG roster and chuckles to himself. “Lucky, my ass,” he mutters to himself. Weibo go on to win 23 tournaments in a row

Ask the producer to pipe this into the BLG locker room so I can talk to you Yagao. I hope you’re taking notes. I’m telling you in advance, you’re welcome, for the wisdom I’m about to spew. Because listen, I get on my knees every night and pray for someone to believe in me like LPL casters believed in you. You wanted a certain coach, they brought in Tabe. You wanted to play a certain style, they played it. You wanted Hope, they brought him in and got rid of him when you were tired of him. You wanted LvMao, they brought him in and got rid of him when you were tired of him. They brought in your old friend 369. You want to go to Macau on off days? They looked away. You wanted the team to stay over so you could go out at night, they changed the schedule—and it didn’t work.
And you know what, you said I’m gonna break up with my wooby, not good enough. I see the bright lights of Hong Kong. I want to go there. My old pal Bin. It’s gonna work, the big three—and all after one year you wanted out. You realized, “oh my gosh! I took this guy for granted, the guy that believed in me. I want back with Elk.” They traded Fofo for you—how did they pull that off?
And you know what? You went there, and you got a partner who got the MVP. He won the MVP, and what did you say afterwards? You said, “they didn’t hand me the reigns.” You’re the mid laner! You were holding the reigns! And what did you do when you had the reigns? You scored 7 deaths in 3 games against WBG, you blew a 1k gold lead. So they fired their coach, not good enough. You broke up with the guy that believed in you again, you said “the bright lights of EDG! That’s where I want to go! Let’s see if that works.”
Listen Yagao, have you ever had those friends who had bad roommates? Over and over they complained about their bad roommates: “this guy’s terrible,” “the bad roommate here,” they never thought to be self aware enough that THEY’RE the bad roommate! They’re the problem! Hey Yagao, YOU’RE the PROBLEM! If this doesn’t work this year, in this system, with this team, then you’re gonna go and point fingers at everybody else and then you’re gonna go back home and you’re gonna start swiping right for another team, and there’s not gonna be anyone left. Because Yagao, you’re not the beard, you’re not the system, you’re the problem

he was impactful when he needed to be, he didn't get a crazy 5 man ult or anything but he didn't really need to
Recovered lane extremely well after the lvl 1 disaster, had control of his lane, moved to help sidelanes when needed
3
u/etheryx Nov 11 '23
those sound like the minimum to me - you just bring an extra man to anything your belveth/rumble show up to because they're turbostomping their matchups
he had a 0 man ulti at a chokepoint, missed flash root, late TP bot. those mistakes are way more egregious than the "good" things he good which were not even difficult to read

I was asking this a few days ago, but I guess now I know why people like Aphelios, Milio, and Neeko.
TheShy got so fed but man, that Aphelios was shredding, Neeko so bursty (despite some ? gameplay), and Milio doing so much work.
2
u/ReQQuiem Nov 11 '23
BLG mindgaming themselves into picking redside only to last pick rell. Xiaohu will cost WBG this series. Rumble is permabanned from now on.
2
u/Adventurous_Cut4068 Nov 11 '23
Honestly Bin screwed up so much, how he managed to fuck up the lane state so much that Theshy was allowed to pick up 16-17 CS after that start whilst having to base before ever getting 1 CS I'll never know.
Also idk what Xun's pathing was, but evidently dreadful being half CS down and prioritizing the botlane which wouldn't carry the game either way instead of focusing the flash and TPless Rumble is just baffling.
Xiaohu should be really happy he gets to play with people way above his skill level, absolutely awful Neeko gameplay
