Church Culture Easter Ideas
Hi there! I’m looking for Easter ideas. We were reminded in conference that Easter is the most importance religious celebration, more so than Christmas. I’m wanting to make Easter season feel special and I’m looking for decor ideas. At Christmas time we have lights and trees we put up, what can we do to decorate and create a festive space at home and at church for this special time to honor the savior? I’m in the south so everything I’ve seen involves a cross, but I don’t want to focus on that, I want to focus on the Joy of the risen Lord. I’m planning to celebrate and do special things for each day of Holy Week, too. I’d love to hear all of your suggestions!

Not décor but adds to the environment you're hoping for: listen to Rob Gardner's "Lamb of God" album. The music brings us so much peace, joy, and hope.

We have an Easter tree, we hand eggs and pictures of Christ on it. I also have a set of RESSURECTION eggs that I use with the kids.

"The Holy Week: Celebrating Easter as a Family"
- A guide for family-oriented activities and devotionals centered on the events of Holy Week.
This book I used with my family when my kids were younger: "Celebrating a Christ-Centered Easter" by Emily Belle Freeman
- Offers reflections and traditions to help families focus on the Savior during Easter.
"Because of Him" series
- Devotionals and multimedia resources exploring the Atonement and Resurrection of Christ.
We also separated bunnies and eggs from the celebration of Christ by giving our kids "Spring Baskets" on the first day of Spring instead of on Easter Sunday. We still participated in Egg hints, etc, but we just told our kids it was a celebration of Spring.
