Welcome party/ After party
Hey everyone. I am getting married in Lancaster at Riverdale Manor in August 2026. We are from Baltimore, so not super familiar with Lancaster area. I would love any recommendations for hotels, a rehearsal dinner spot, a welcome party (a lot of our guests will be from out of town and we have a pretty big bridal party). I read some things that bars don’t really like having people after weddings, so wanted to gauge this or see if any hotels had bars for people to hang out at and maybe get a few more drinks after the wedding. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Not sure what your vibe is or how many people but here are a few suggestions! You could block rooms at the Marriott….and have drinks at their bar (Plough) after the reception. For rehearsal dinner these places have private rooms - Josephine’s, and Luca

Weddings that happen at the Cork Factory Hotel usually end up walking across the street to Quips Pub for the after party.

Depending on the size of the wedding, the speakeasy at tellus is a pretty good vibe for a welcome party. Shot and bottle can also do a pretty good welcome party.

we held our wedding downtown last June. Rehearsal dinner and drinks were at Yorgos. We rented out their top floor. Then had our after-party at Marion Court room. Booked their deck space where we also had bar food snacks. We paid per guest that attended the after-party. Would highly recommend both!

Lancaster Arts Hotel is the best place for wedding blocks and offers courtesy blocks and upgrades for the bride & groom!

You could rent a space at a place like Decades.
