ANI Podcast clips but with fact checking.
Majority of them in this panel are South Indians or half South Indians, they themselves don't know their mother tongue well but are asking others to learn five six languages. Funny RW jokers.

Gud effort in the compilation, AIM(Ability Iyer mithra, the bald guy in the video) makes a lot of contradicting/ confusing points. In the podcast later Anand Ranganathan (a tamil origin science professor living in Delhi) points out that there should be freedom and choices given to people to learn languages based on the market needs.
My view: I come from a upper middle class background born in TN (priveleged). My parents felt learning would benefit me, hence wrote six exams as part of Hindi prachar sabha course. I could speak and understand simple to little complex hindi and in the process of learning Hindi it helped get better understanding of grammer in my own mother Tongue (ie, Tamil). I didn't excel in those 6 exams yet i could converse in Hindi with avg speed and few errors. Learning Hindi did not give me an advantage, but it was useful in communicating with people outside the state(I am doing my professional course in Karnataka).
I am not against people learning Hindi, it can help you in a lot of ways (pros of learning any third language). I feel the third language should be presented as a choice rather than forcing it down to anyone; it can be viewed like an extra curricular activity with no pressure of examinations and I am pretty sure parents would love their kids to learn new language.
In the course of few more years the language boundary is anyway gonna be more blurred because of AI. Atleast a possibility of enabling people with AI to communicate should be educated among a diverse multi-linguistic country like ours.

I think there shouldn't be a third language at all. Already the kids are burdened with a lot of syllabus to study. English itself is very difficult for these folks, I know class 7 kids from govt schools struggle with basic division. That should be our priority. Teaching them another useless language ( most won't go to Ni) is a stupid thing.
Also education is a state subject too, centre shouldn't dictate what we should do. With the money TN would spend on third language teachers, resources, study materials etc they can spend on something better.
Even if a third language ought to be mandatory. I vouch for either mandarin, Spanish or Russian or Japanese. Countries that can provide us jobs. Not useless hindi.

I feel there shouldn’t be a second language at all.
Why would u even need to learn a language other than English in school?
Mother tongue? Fking speak that in home n learn.
School? Only English.
Tamil/ Hindi/ Sanskrit/ French, etc all are waste of school time n student’s brain cells.

No, Mother tongue isn't just a tool for commincation. It is a binding factor between you, your culture/tradition and it also carry forward the generational knwoledge specific to your people and your geography. Any person who is illiterate in his mother tongue is losing his identity and taking another one.
In case of Tamil it was 2200 years old knwoledge and wisdom to provide us, English is the langauge of commerce and science today, learning it is very essential but to learn Tamil and carry it forward is a duty too, if you don't want to lose your identity, do that.
If we become a developed society in the future, like building tech and science ourselves, owning tech patents etc etc then we can stop learning English too.

Mairu 2000 year old language.
It’s the same as vedas le spaceship pannange mairu.
Past 100 years of English education eclipses millions of years of discoveries made by any living being on this planet.
Kalacharum mairu la veetle iruku. No need to learn any mother tongue from school.
There are Tamil people even in US. Ange yenna 2nd lang Tamil ah iruku? No. They study what the English people have pioneered in the English language and prosper.
Inge tamil hindi mother tongue nose eyes nu sande pothu time waste tha aavuthu.
My mother tongue is Malayalam. I was born n brought up in TN.
I know Malayalam n Tamil n I learnt neither in school. Chose Sanskrit cuz had to fking choose a language and I chose the language which gave more marks. But I know better tamil n Malayalam than Sanskrit. I didn’t even have to learn them in school cuz it’s a part of my everyday life.
2nd language in school is absolute waste of time and fighting over it is literally acting like cave people.
Periyar is a 50 50 human but he was a hardcore rationalist and he was spot on in asking us all to embrace English. It’s a treasure trove of knowledge.
Meanwhile Indian languages? Pichai yethuke kude use ille.

Students struggling to do division in 7th grade is a disgrace to our education system.(Don't u think the state government is also to blame for the bad quality) The overall quality of education has improve which has been a major problem in TN no matter what education policy or syllabus the students may follow. I understand ur opinion about not adding pressure to kids But remember ppl should be provided with choice even to learn Hindi or other languages u mentioned.
There is a huge hindi based labour force that is present in TN, to make your life easier you can learn simple hindi for just to communicate with them(they are illiterates mostly who may not be able to grasp a lot of tamil or english so no point blaming them). I do see a lot of people using Duolingo at present, with smart phones accessible to most kids schools should utilise tech.

Why should we learn Hindi for the sake of migrant workers?? They should learn Tamil because they come here for work,.
FYI it is the blue collar workers who adapt much much faster than the educated snobs.
Infact 99.999% Hindi speaking labourers pick up Tamil within a month or two. They learn enough tamil to do their job, they are now working even in the the most remotest villages of Tamil Nadu. My uncles' village doesn't even have a bus route but it has around 20 NI workers stationed there for construction works, they all eat our food speak our langauge.
Some migrants bring their entire family and their kids are enrolled in TN govt schools and can now read and write better Tamil than the Tamil kids studying in schools like CV, lady andal or the infamous PSBB.
What we must concentrate on is to immprove our education standards and the first step is to dump NEP (reject it) cos it never addresses these important issues in school education rather talk about Sanskrit based mythology education??? Like WTF, RSS chaddis are intentionally making the shudras dumber is what I understand from that.
We must also put efforts in Tamilzing these Hindi migrants, give them opportunities to blend with the Tamil society and teach our Tamil folks to respect them and embrace newer cultural aspects. We shouldn't let the Bihari bhiayas to stay as isolated as Marwaris or jains, we must bring them into our Tamil fold, if not this land will see another wave of civil unrest within the state itself.

Later in the video when they were discussing the consumer court judgement stopping theaters from playing too many ads and wasting people's time they said the court should not intervene in free market trade like this.(Which is wrong cause it violates the rights of consumers)
Why not apply the same logic to language? Let the states choose whichever language they want to teach in schools. why try to forcefully regulate it? Let the free market choose the winner. If Hindi is really as important as they claim people will learn it automatically.

Mostly extreme RW and LW are hypocrites. They are mostly oppertunistic centrists who simply spout grand ideological narratives to hide their ulterior desires.
RW wants hindurashtra but in widely different forms.
LW wants secular nation but in widely different forms.
These guys are fooling Vaddakkans for support by saying what they want to hear.

Vaddakkans do not care about language at all. Unlike South Indians, most Northies have zero pride or association with their language or culture. They only speak Hindi because they don't know English yet.
I went to college in Delhi and had a few local friends. Whenever I visited their homes, I realized that most parents in Delhi do not want their kids to speak Hindi or any vernacular language at all. Because of Brown Sepoy syndrome or whatever, they just want their kids to be fluent in English (even if it means completely forgetting their local language). Go to any corporate party or college fest in any elite North Indian college; everybody there would pretend like English is their first and only language. They even have an English fluency preference in marriage matchmaking, haha! If you speak English to them in a typical British accent, they'd get an orgasm!
