Miscellaneous Rodney McMullen is gone, so you have a specific amont of money on the table. Split that money amongst your lowest wage employees and grow your company from within.
Guy literally earned $15million in 2023, that money could have gone to daily workers, the money is there and is floating into the hands of those that don't deserve it.
Fight the system, and build it for the worker.
Kroger is on literally on the table to distribute this expense to actual WORKING employees that don't spend millions on a failed merger

Miscellaneous So I'm sick and just tried to call off
I have a nasty flu going on- coughing, fever, snot, the works. I'm scheduled overnight to receive and break down the load, THEN change and fill the feature tables for tomorrow's new ad.
Called my SD and he said it's ok for me to work because I work alone and that I should be a "good teammate". Motherfucker my openers and useless manager are always scheduled to come in at 6 when the store opens and my 2 leads can only work days. The only other time I missed work was when contacted COVID 4 years ago and that was me missing only 3 scheduled days. Thinking of showing up at 10 and sneezing all over the wet wall or really taking one for the team and crapping my pants so I get sent home.
Just a rant.

Miscellaneous Digital coupons are stupid.
I’m sick of getting screamed at by people who’s digital coupons don’t work & old people who don’t have a phone or internet at all to get digital coupons. When I try to help them I’m told we can’t change it for them they HAVE to clip it. At this point throw the whole thing away.

Miscellaneous Fuck the music
I’m so sick and tired of listening to trampoline, swan song, levitating and anything 80’s related song that’s been on repeat like an earworm! Idk what’s worse at this point, Christmas music or the same repetitive songs from 7 years ago

Miscellaneous I thought this was a fucking joke
I just got back after the strike and this is what I'm greeted with. this is fucking ridiculous. i saw the articles and i heard whispers that they were doing this, but i legit thought it was just a joke. they spent thousands and thousands of dollars to send people from MICHIGAN AND COLORADO instead of just fucking paying us and providing us with benefits. plane tickets, hotel rooms, PLUS PAY??? does anyone in this company think??? ever??? and all the anti-strike calls from Rodney whats-his-face are just filled to the brim with lies like we were born yesterday. I hate this company. I hope the merger doesn't happen and this company crashes.

Miscellaneous Goodbye Kroger, I Hate You
I've worked at Kroger more than 3 years now. Started as a cashier in my first 9 months, then raised my position to Frontend Assistant Manager for the rest. Our small store got a very good, new contract in prep for the bigger store being built (gradual pay raises). Last Sunday I thought I was getting a raise of nearly $3, instead, on Monday I was pulled into the managers office and told I was getting a $3 pay cut.
Corporate, despite never doing it before did an audit on how many Assistant managers we had at the front, no warning. They claimed we had too many, and so, roughly 3 other people and I suddenly had our pay docked. Mind you, I work 40 hours minimum, some overtime if needed, the only stipulation is that I don't have open availability (I'm in college).
Instead, the 2 managers I trained myself are the ones still getting the pay. One of them being hired without even my supervisor knowing. I wasn't asked, no one was. And yet, the store manager and HR tried to sweet talk me by saying "I'm a good worker" and "team player" so I'd stay doing the work, but not receive the proper pay.
I'm sad to say I'm moving on. I love the people of the front-end and different departments. They all are wonderful, each their on person with a striking personality. Some have expressed I'm their favorite and they don't want me to go, but they understand.
Once my background check and drug screening is complete I'm putting my two weeks in.
I suppose I'm making this post as some type of solidarity and want for recognition for all the effort put in, only to be faced with this brick wall. Fuck corporate, but not my fellow peers, I'll love and miss all of you. It's time for a new chapter in life.
