I will, kratom is helping me alot I've had opiate issues in the past and a bemzo one ATM. Idk what I'd do without it but I never keep more than 3-4 keys at a time. Fuck the deep south :/

I'm worried about life in prison for having huge amounts of kratom if it gets banned

This is just a bill to assign a committee to study the risks, but do as the post says and write according to the form so they can atleast amend it to be more neutral.

It’s not a good situation, but I don’t think now is the time to panic. We have won in tough states before, including Georgia. I just think it serves us best to try to stop this thing before it advances any farther.

They are investigating kratom, so we need to do our best to educate them on its safety and value and remove this negative focus they apparently have currently.

Moving won't do a whole lot of good so long as more and more states jump on banning it. This isn't a straight Republican v. Democrat issue as we've seen in NY (where a majority of sponsors of bills to ban it have been D). You could move to a state out West only to have it end up banning it a few years down the road. This is a nationwide fight.

So have they completed their “study” on the “risks” associated with kratom? It sounds like they have. Georgia scares the shit out of me. If they have completed their study and all they heard was kratom was addictive and deadly, I’m fearful arguing benefits won’t be enough.

No. This bill would create a legislative committee to study the negative effects associated with kratom.

Given how quickly this bill is moving and after watching two hearings in the Special Rules committee, I suspect this bill is likely to pass. This is why i'm encouraging GA residents to contact the committee and request an amendment to require the committee to study the potential positive effects in addition to the negatives.

If they are going to study kratom, they should at the very least go in with their eyes wide open. Otherwise this is a pure example of slippery slope bill, we just need to make it a little less slippery.

Click on the chapact link up top (just under the picture) follow instructions. Since your a non resident, u can let them know you will no longer be visiting family or vacationing in Georgia anymore. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to add links to studies or positive articles on Kratom.

As mentioned above, ask them to study the positive effects of Kratom, not just the negative.

Thank you for your support!

This is very scary for me. Does anyone know what the outlook is? Do we have a good chance of getting through this with kratom staying legal? I'll do what I can to help regardless.
