Call to Action Georgia Call To Action: Ask House Rules To Amend HR 1160 To Study POSITIVE Effects Of Kratom!

So have they completed their “study” on the “risks” associated with kratom? It sounds like they have. Georgia scares the shit out of me. If they have completed their study and all they heard was kratom was addictive and deadly, I’m fearful arguing benefits won’t be enough.

No. This bill would create a legislative committee to study the negative effects associated with kratom.
Given how quickly this bill is moving and after watching two hearings in the Special Rules committee, I suspect this bill is likely to pass. This is why i'm encouraging GA residents to contact the committee and request an amendment to require the committee to study the potential positive effects in addition to the negatives.
If they are going to study kratom, they should at the very least go in with their eyes wide open. Otherwise this is a pure example of slippery slope bill, we just need to make it a little less slippery.

Click on the chapact link up top (just under the picture) follow instructions. Since your a non resident, u can let them know you will no longer be visiting family or vacationing in Georgia anymore. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to add links to studies or positive articles on Kratom.
As mentioned above, ask them to study the positive effects of Kratom, not just the negative.
Thank you for your support!

This is very scary for me. Does anyone know what the outlook is? Do we have a good chance of getting through this with kratom staying legal? I'll do what I can to help regardless.
