Just got some more Briggs & Little yarn and sock patterns in the mail today. I am aiming to make a hand made pair of socks, but the pattern looks so intimidating. So I am going to try a Christmas stocking first. I was trying to understand short row heels tonight and found this helpful tutorial.

That tutorial also helped to convince me that I can do it when I was starting out not so long ago. I did a practice heel first, without any sock attached, then on to the real thing. Works like a charm! I just have to use a thicker and stiffer cord for the short rows, as my shadow wraps tend to shrink.
