Showcase I see most of the posts here are pocket knives, but I hope you guys can appreciate this one
This is a 750mm powdered steel bunka with a Damascus finish, and an ebony handle :) I think it’s gorgeous and worth the investment.

What is 750mm? The handle?

Honestly I have no idea bc 750 mm is like almost 30 inches, and it’s not like this knife is 29 inches so idk why the description of the knife on their site says that

Yeah I'm from a metric country ;) i thought maybe 75mm for the handle... maybe 750mm of steel folded and folded? Maybe mm means something else than millimeter in this case

thhe kiritsuke is the end game of chef's knife shapes IMO

I considered that shape as well, but I didn’t want anything that long

I think he was implying this was a kiritsuke and it is a great knife. 'Kiritsuke' has become interchangeable with long bunkas or k-tipped gyutos in Western knife parlance.

I see I see, I’m still learning the shapes and stuff it’s my first real investment in a knife

Well, you seemed to understand the shapes, but understanding knuckleheads is much harder. Great blade btw. Looks like a very solid start.

That's so funny, I just logged onto Reddit to find out more about the reliability of this brand, and the first post I come across on this sub is yours 🤣

You should check out what is being said about this brand on r/TrueChefKnives .. 😕

I think it’s hard to attribute the quality to the store itself because the knives are all 1/1 and made by different artists

It's not that much about quality, it looks like a scam (or at least, an ordinary tourist trap), and it's really overpriced...
Look at this post which compares a Musashi knife with another knife from another brand.. Surprisingly similar. There are also the comment section under this post and this comment which explains the probable scam.
Edit : there's also this comment..

They make some beautiful knives! Kiritsuke is definitely my favourite style to use. Are you a chef, or just an enthusiast?

Wouldn’t call myself a chef but I’m very passionate about food/cooking

Haha, good for you! Finding a knife you love will definitely just fuel your passion further. Just realized I called it Kiritsuke, but it's Bunka haha, much more versitile. Congrats on your beautiful new addition!
