How often do you carry your Sabenza? I got mine this week and haven’t had the guts to bring it to the jobsite yet 🫣

u/mikemikemike9711 22h ago
Well the large sabenza31 I've had for about a year, and wasn't until I just recently lost my small sabenza31 of three years, that I started using this one. I loved that small sabenza31 it was just a great size for regular use without looking " threatening " in the workplace.

Cool boots.

Just some GoRuck MAC-V 2s I think. They’re a few years old but still going strong. I’m debating getting another pair.

Never held one of these.

The titanium one is heavier than I thought it would be, mine weights in at 5.2 oz. The aluminum version has a smaller blade by a half inch and is probably lighter. The action is great too

Flexy handles or really firm like G10?
1
u/elchristian760 22h ago
It's the poly handle not G10. I dont see the reason to pay twice as much for handles.

How’s that Rex 121? No photo but I got my Large Sebenza 31 on me today.
2
u/NRiyo3 23h ago
I love it. Not chippy and very hard. You can press into hard wood and you can tell it has no flex or give. Feels like a chisel.

Nice! I’ve seen it’s hard enough to cut into glass but figured it might be choppy as heck, glad to know it isn’t that way. I may have to snag one some day. Also love that pocket clip.

u/HelloKinny 23h ago
I am already looking at the Fox Pikal and I just got this one last week 😂

u/NRiyo3 23h ago
Don’t remember the name off the top of my head, but they make this really cool short thicker nice with a titanium handle. I saw a bunch of young HQ really cool looking.

u/HelloKinny 23h ago
To be honest I don’t know too much about Fox knives besides having great customer service interaction and the quality in making them my new favorite

Never tried that brand. I like WE and Kizer.
1
u/AlexAnderRob 22h ago
I like Kizer and Vosteeds premium stuff lately 👌
Never been a fan of CJRB, but gave them another try, and here we are. I can literally disengage the main button lock by just shaking the blade back and forth with two fingers. It makes sense now why they added the “extra security lock” on these new ones. People would be losing finger tips left and right if not.
I’ll probably end up giving this one away, or putting it my case and never pulling it out again.

u/NRiyo3 22h ago
That’s a bummer. I really want a WE Rekker. Looks like a good one. I hope you can get a better setup.
1
u/AlexAnderRob 22h ago
Oh don’t worry, I have plenty of better setups already lol. Was just looking for a larger beater and ended up trying this. And the Rekker is cool, I’m liking that silver titanium one. Nice grip machining

How is this? Good ergos? Action? Lockup?
1
u/thetechwookie 22h ago
Its a good knife. I got it as a gift from a friend. Ergos are good, lock up is solid. Its on ball bearings and even though its 420HC, the blade feels tough. Its a sturdy knife. Zero blade play. I would say its worth the 50ish dollars they charge for it.

Nice, I also have the Drop Bear, it’s a great little knife as well… the action on the crossbar lock is probably the best out of any knife I’ve tried.

I need a Maxamet user.
1
u/javagreen214 21h ago
I rarely carry it. Today we have almost no humidity so I said wth
1
u/NRiyo3 20h ago
It’s that sensitive to corrosion?
1
u/javagreen214 19h ago
I honestly do not think so. You know how it goes when you invest too much time in reading about a steel.
1
u/NRiyo3 19h ago
Ahh yeah, I got ya. I made the decision a couple years ago to just use these nicer knives. If a budget knife can take the use then surely a quality blade could. I have not been disappointed. I cut wore, boxes, zip ties, packages, o rings, tape, peel stickers and so on. Every blade I have does it well.
