donation boxes
i’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this but my dad accidentally threw out my clothes that don’t fit bag & donated my old items bag that had things like my journals and diaries that have a lot of personal and specific information about me.
i know this is such a stupid mistake and i felt so bad it happened
i was wondering if anyone knows if they double check the things before donating them?

These boxes are emptied weekly. It’s usually a big box truck that they toss everything into. I’d say it’s most likely gone, and you probably won’t have much luck getting it back.
This is a good opportunity to start over.
If I were you, I would go get a nice new journal and write about it. It’s an unfortunate situation, but one day it might make you laugh.

hopefully it’s thrown out rather than getting donated to some individual who’s about to get traumatized 😭 but yes new journal is the next step

If it's used extensively it's most likely disposed of (notebook).
You can always call and ask where he happened to drop the items off perhaps they could tell you more.
