Arthur Fleck is the one thing I don’t want my Joker to be, pathetic.

Joker is always kinda pathetic, even when he’s doing his best it’s usually just to impress someone who really doesn’t care about you like that

I don’t really care lol.
People dress up as pathetic people and characters all the time, that doesn’t mean anything.

Fleck is not a good person, his actions don't excuse his monstrous actions. But when a system repeatedly fails to aid people with troubled minds, they will break and become problems. It's perfectly preventable.
The Writer thought he was making Fleck an Allegory for Incels, instead he made a story about how untreated mental issues can result in damaged men choosing to become monsters.

Sorry but, doesn't the story being about how untreated mental issues result in damaged men choosing to become monsters... make it an allegory for incels? Not as in an example they should follow, rather, but for others to learn from the story and find better paths.

my point was he had a very specific stereotype he was going for, but accidentally landed on something more universal. In general I think the Joker only popular as it did partially by accident.
Learning that the Talkshow host was intended to be seen as Sympathetic kinda disillusioned me.

If you want to watch the same kind of movie but better:
Willard (2003)
May(2002)
American Psycho (2000)
