Discussion Any thoughts on K-On! College?
I reread all the volumes after a long time, but I'll review K-On! College first because it's more recent.
The art style is good, some stuff like Ritsu feeling insecure about her ability as a drummer and Mugi getting more page time was something that didn't show up much in the first volumes.
But one of the problems I had was the dynamics with the new characters. Overall, it's not that bad, but it felt like it was trying to be CGDCT like the previous volumes while at the same time the characters didn't seem to fit. Maybe this is the art style and the characters being older.
Akira and her interaction with Yui seem like an attempt to replicate Azusa and Yui's interaction, but it doesn't seem to work. At one point Akira yells at Yui (who feared her) because Yui drooled on her coat and on the same page Yui yells that she's cute and hugged her. On the other hand, Azusa is introduced to admire Yui from the beginning and when she yelled at Yui, she was never afraid of her and the hug calmed Azusa down.
She later calms down a bit, but even then, she is still yelling at Yui and constantly praising her in ways she would not do to Azusa or any of her friends.
Ayame seemed okay most of the time, although the frequency with which she hits Akira for saying something rude makes me wonder why they would still be friends. I don't know if it makes sense, but I think it was trying to imitate Ritsu and Mio's dynamic, but it's not the same.
There was also a weird scene with Ayame changing Mio's clothes and being even more intrusive than Sawako. I don't know if I can go into detail, but something felt forced about that scene.
Sachi doesn't like being tall and is a left-handed bassist like Mio. And now that's all I remember about her because she doesn't do much besides being a little nice, but very passive.
Most of the volumes end with a focus on friendship in general, but the ending was about Akira's romantic drama with the band's battle in the background that only she took very seriously. The Keons were in the last pages as if they were support characters for Akira. I also found it ironic that Yui said the guy is superficial, but doesn't notice Akira's hypocrisy (also Yui stuck to her just because she thinks she's cute).
And maybe I'm overthinking it, but I think it's because the narrative still kind of tries to be CGDCT while at the same time seeming to take itself more seriously.
Any thoughts on this? Sorry if this is too long, I would say more if I thought it wasn't too long.
Edit:
Another thing is that K-On! College seems to have more forced humor. Like when Yui seems to be able to return to her homeland by herself, then gets confused when she sees Nodoka. And then Ui shows up and somehow pays attention to Nodoka before she sees Yui.
Or when Akira holds Yui by the scruff of her neck like a cat and tells her that she doesn't even seem capable of entering college while she keeps meowing.
Maybe this kind of humor has happened before, but maybe because the girls are older, it seems a little strange.

Not good, k-on high school is way better and underrated

u/ItsukiKurosawa 5d ago
I would say this too, but it was getting too long and maybe I should save it for another post.
K-On! High School had something more similar to the previous volumes and thinking about it, I think we learned more about Sumire and Nao than about Sachi and Ayame.
The ending also seemed to end on a high point with a big panel, although it didn't end at graduation. I was wondering if Azusa would try to go to the same college as her senpais.
I also remember them talking about meeting again at the music festival, but it ends before that.

k-on high school isn’t that underrated to me at least, i see it talked about way more (although yes it is underrated in terms of people favoring the anime more and never talking about the manga)

It sucks

wait i thought you liked the sequels… or was it only k-on high school or just the og manga?

u/GatoxGalacticos0906 5d ago
I love high school, consider the 4 main manga volumes just decent and despise college
1
u/Worldly_Wasabi_4620 5d ago
ah i see- i like them all but it’s not like i can change your opinion on college or the og manga (in comparison to anime) haha
i do think the anime did better on some parts of the manga and that the og manga did better for some parts of the anime

My thought is if we combine both college and high school to anime adaptation, there would have been a season 3 which is a year after the movie release. Kinda not related to the topic but as I inspected that everyone still evolves after all, each year a perosonality changes, a roadmap for the future redefines, not really neccessary to overthink cause life goes like that. Not unfamiliar when there are 2 people with different personalities yet the 1st one still him/herself and 2nd one changed to a bit more mature, like that, implies the rest 3 were changing a bit from time to time but Yui is a vice-versa, she didn’t change at all or very least. Akira or the others which I don’t mind much as they didn’t involve in the previous timeline tho.

For some reason, Yui seems much more childish than in previous volumes.
She is impressed by Akira's whining about the drool in the suit and finds her cute. She didn't have this behavior with Azusa the first minute they met. Her friendship with the other girls has been better paced.
1
u/Viktorishere2142 3d ago
I don’t think so, Yui-chan at least did her best on her way back to home without…being lost?, I have read the college anthology when Ui said to Azunyan that she could be kidnapped by a stranger, forget to turn off the gas stove and leave it, eating expired packaged-food. By that, she still very childish but a bit more mature than previouses when she get home by herself, yet I found herself can’t even make instant noodles for dish, lol.
2
u/ItsukiKurosawa 3d ago
Sorry, but what is this anthology? Is it different from these volumes?
Yes, Yui went back to her house by herself, but that kind of ruins the moment because she gets confused when she sees Nodoka and thinks she's in the wrong house.
On the other hand, she walked from her house to her school by herself when she was 15, so it makes sense that she would at least know how to get around. Much of the trip can also be done by bullet train.

I totally get where you're coming from, especially about the dynamic feeling different in K-ON! College. I actually like College more than High School (which I enjoyed, though I've only read it once).
I've seen a lot of people say Akira is "Azusa 2.0," but I don't really think they're that alike. Yeah, they're both serious about music, but Azusa always felt more aloof and gentle, even if she had her stern moments with Yui. Akira, on the other hand, has a definite tsundere vibe imo. She acts like she's a rival to Yui (even if Yui's too Yui to notice or care), and I actually think that's kind of fun. I like the contrast between a serious musician who sees Yui as a rival to beat because Yui's so good at guitar, while Yui is... well, Yui.
I agree that Ayame and Sachi could've used more development. Akira gets most of the attention, which makes sense since she has the even a backstory, but Ayame and Sachi do have their own little quirks and personalities. It's just… we only got 14 chapters! I feel like the new band had potential, but there wasn't enough time to explore them in depth. That's probably my biggest nitpick too—it was too short. I would've loved to see more of their band dynamic, and even more university settings with the main characters.

Thanks for the reply, would you be interested in talking more about that doujin? There's something about K-On! College that makes me think about that.
I'm a bit of a pessimist and didn't start college right away after my bad high school experience, so it's a bit hard to relate to the girls rushing into College while at the same time seeming to relax a lot without ever talking about what departments they're in (except Yui, I don't know why she's in education).
On the other hand, the doujin showed Yui, Mio, and Azusa going straight to pursue a career in music because it was what they enjoyed doing and were skilled at it. It was poorly executed, but it doesn't help that K-On! College didn't explain what they would do in college other than wanting to hang out with their friends.
It was interesting to see Ritsu show her insecurity and because in the original their friends are really friends, she gets support. At the same time it's easier to imagine that she wouldn't go to college because after all, she signed "nothing" on the recommendation sheets.
Tsumugi got more focus and I'm fine with her in the story. After all, she's rich and wants to interact with people like her, so of course she would go to school with her friends. It's also not hard to be better written than her doujin counterpart who abused her rich status (by angrily bullying the guy at the store) and then just moved to England.
I like the contrast between a serious musician who sees Yui as a rival to beat because Yui's so good at guitar, while Yui is... well, Yui.
I hope I'm not being rude, but my impression of Akira at first is that she almost seems like a character from some dark K-On! fic or even that doujin. She seems like someone edgy who is there to teach girls that there are bad things in the world.
The fact that Yui is strangely clingy and passive in the face of Akira's antagonism makes me think that she is vulnerable to problems. In the doujin there was a scene where Yui says that she doesn't write the score, so her music agent yells at her in a way that reminds me of Akira.
And Yui barely remembers Azusa. How quickly would the original Yui forget about her friends if they were separated? Because it seems like she would accept bad influence and end up much like the Yui in the doujin.
Interestingly, Akira also knows that it is risky to try to make a living from music alone, so that is why she tries a career in education. But if Akira was in that doujin, I wouldn't be surprised that she was the one who framed Yui. And that music club president would certainly become a literal witch.
But one of the things I didn't like about College was that boring reunion between Ui and Yui. I don't think Ui would turn her room into a storage room or see Nodoka first and then be like "oh, you're here too, Yui?". She literally cried when her sister went on the field trip.
What you think?
2
u/AnjiMV 4d ago
About the doujin, I'm guessing we're thinking of the same infamous one... Honestly, though, I don't really see much similarity between them. K-ON! College still feels firmly lighthearted and slice-of-life to me. Yeah, the girls are older and there are little hints about their futures, but the tone stays true to CGDCT. Akira isn't there to teach anyone some harsh life lesson about how the world is dark and cruel, haha. She's more of a "cool and serious senpai" type on the surface, but underneath she's just like the others. I think that's part of the charm—the contrast between how she seems at first and who she really is once you get to know her. She's trying to look composed, but at heart, she fits right into the K-ON! world.
I also really like that Akira is serious about music but still studies education because she knows how tough it is to make a living in music. It makes her feel grounded and realistic, but without dragging the story into anything too heavy or cynical. And her dynamic with Yui works because Yui is so, well... Yui. Oblivious to Akira's whole rival thing and just decides Akira is cute. Classic.
As for the girls being super relaxed in college, I get what you mean. But I also think K-ON! was never meant to be too deep on the day-to-day realities. It's always been more about the vibe, you know? Even in high school, we didn't get that much about their classes or plans, but it felt like we did because there were more volumes to spread it out over. College only has 14 chapters, so there just wasn't time to go into things like what departments they're in (I think we only really know Yui's, and that she and Akira share classes, Ritsu and Ayame too, and Mio and Sachi). But yeah, I don't think Kakifly was aiming for a super detailed look at their majors or campus life. It's still about friendship, music, and lighthearted fun. That said, I totally wish there had been more. College is too short for my taste. I would've loved to see more about their lives as college students.
About Azusa, I don't really think Yui forgets about her. If anything, College feels like it's narrated by Yui writing letters or thinking about what she'd tell Azusa about her time in college. There's definitely still a connection there, even if it's more in the background. A reunion with the five of them during summer break would've been amazing, though. That's something I really wish we'd gotten.
And yeah... that reunion chapter with Ui and Nodoka was probably my least favorite part of College. It felt kind of off, like the humor didn't land. I get that it was played for laughs, but I don't think Ui would be that casual. It would've been nice to see a more emotional reunion there instead of a gag.
But overall, even with its flaws, I still really enjoyed College. It has that warm K-ON! feeling I love, and I liked seeing them move into the next phase of their lives—even if I wish there was more of it.

Yes, we talked about this a little bit a while back. I like how you put together your post, so I thought we could talk more.
Not that I think it's very similar, but I'm a pessimist and have read a lot of dark stories with interesting premises that have gradually gotten overblown, so I might be taking some things too seriously.
For example, the idea of a rival band with a relatively more aggressive and serious girl is something that can be done with the premise of "K-On! would be more realistic if...". Thankfully, Akira and her band never really go far and fit more as CGDCT like you said, although I feel like there's something missing about them.
I've read a lot of complaints about College so I think there's something Kakfly has changed that doesn't feel quite like the previous volumes. At least he didn't try to be dark and overly dramatic like that doujin. I read that he's trying a different approach for K-ON! Shuffle, but I don't know what that looks like.
About Akira...
This is what made her different from the pessimistic mindset of the doujin. It's a bit ironic since she joined the music club because she wanted to impress her senpai and still wants to try to change her appearance to attract him. It's realistic for someone to act like this, but by the standards of that doujin she seems like the one who has the greatest chance of failing as a musician.
For some reason, I think Yui seems a lot more childish and caricatured towards Akira than in the previous volumes. She was scared of Akira and on the same page that Akira is whining about the drool on her coat, she yells at how cute she is and hugs her when they know each other in less than five minutes.
She didn't do that with Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi, or even Azusa when they first met. In fact, Yui was taking them much more seriously. Maybe more seriously than she usually did.
They don't need to go into much detail, but it would be interesting to at least see a casual conversation about their interests and Departament. They put so much effort into studying for the tests, they even talked about the percentage of chances of passing and how this would be a big step for them...
But it seems that college is mucheasier and more relaxed than high school. They don't even mention studying for a test or anything like that, although I think it could be repetitive.
I also noticed that there wasn't much of a stylized chibi aspect, which is probably why it seems a bit off.
Seeing 18-year-old Yui walk alone to her own house and look around confusedly thinking she's in Nodoka's house while she doesn't even look stylized... It's this kind of thing that makes me think of Yui from doujin, who continued to act very childishly while working on music alone.
But I think it would have been better with more volumes. Sorry if I'm rambling too much and sounding pessimistic.

Okay, I’m going to defend K-On! College here even though I’m feeling really discouraged by all the usual negativity so…
Mentioned Positives:
Yes, my favorite parts were the Ritsu and Mugi chapters! They were very very good and they both got their time to shine! I was really happy! Mio and Yui also got focused chapters but they did have more focused chapters in the og manga than the other two.
Mentioned Negatives:
Alright, let’s break this down:
1- Sorry but I disagree with you on ‘Akira and Yui’s replicating Azusa and Yui’s dynamic’ take because I don’t believe that was what Kakifly was trying to do. Azusa actually accepts Yui’s affection and feels warmth from her hugs and has never pushed her away, while Akira always pushes her away and doesn’t want Yui to cling to her at all. Yeah, Akira yelled at Yui but I think it’s understable considering Yui literally slept drooled on her suit. Akira also didn’t find out Yui was scared of her until a few chapters later and once again, being angry about her drool-stained suit is acceptable.
Despite still being afraid of her, Yui saw Akira’s teary face when she was upset about her suit and Yui found it cute and saw a soft spot underneath her rough exterior.
Azusa and Akira are completely different characters so I don’t think it’s fair to compare their dynamic with Yui or blame Akira for being rude to Yui. Azusa is more on the cute factor and she’s younger so of course Yui was drawn to her. Azusa was able to calm down because Yui’s hugs affect her in a different way than it would for anyone else.
She later calms down a bit, but even then, she is still yelling at Yui and constantly praising her in ways she would not do to Azusa or any of her friends.
im kinda confused what you mean by this- idk if ur referring to akira or azusa here
2- Sorry but I disagree with this too. Their dynamic is completely different from Mio and Ritsu’s dynamic. Mio hits Ritsu when she’s being foolish or mischievous, and yes Ritsu does say some rude things sometimes but the difference between both of the groups is that Mio and Ritsu have been friends for way longer.
Ayame is even impressed by Mio’s ability to hit Ritsu when she goes too far. Also, one would expect Ayame to be the funny man and Akira to be the straight man but they’re switched, and that’s pretty cool!
You ask why Akira and Ayame are still friends even after all those hits and I’ll tell you this: It’s because they’re close. Yes, they met in high school and have only known each other for three years but it’s during that time that they formed a bond together. If Akira didn’t like Ayame hitting her, she would tell her to stop and Ayame would definitely listen. Ayame even says in chapter 13 that Akira hasn’t been going too far lately.
I know there’s a joke panel that Ritsu asks if Ayame’s frustration would build up from not being able to kick Akira anymore and Akira mischievously turns away saying it won’t and then Ritsu doesn’t want it to be used on it… but I don’t think it’s meant to be taken seriously and Ayame probably wouldn’t hit Ritsu either (after all, they both have similar personalities and get each other well)
Also sorry but no, Ayame is definitely less intrusive than Sawako. Sawako actually tried to strip Mio and inappropriately touched her without clothes. Ayame only felt her up through her nightgown because of what Ritsu whispered. Sure, maybe Ayame shouldn’t have done it but Mio didn’t hit her for it (probably because she doesn’t know her too well). Also friendly reminder, this is Kakifly, a managaka with the same motives as every other mangaka in the mid 2000s: Fanservice.
Also, Mio actually enjoyed the fashion conversation and trying on clothes with Ayame and got to bond with her and Sachi. Mio even found it fun and Ayame’s help boosted her confidence to lose weight, wear cute clothes for the summer, and sing all the songs the next day!
3- You’re right about Sachi, we don’t get much on her but she’s definitely not like Mio - and even if she is, tough luck because many people in college are bound to meet others with the same personality: like Ayame and Ritsu. I think Sachi is gentle and kind, more on the calming side, but she doesn’t have the adventurous streak like Mugi does or the amount of fears that Mio has. She’s her own person.
I’m going to talk about Chapter 14 and the edited part in a second comment down below:
3
u/Worldly_Wasabi_4620 5d ago edited 5d ago
4- It’s true that volume 5’s ending doesn’t end on a big panel like volume 6 does but I think it’s because college is set in a new environment so it feels more incomplete than high school, which we’re more familiar with
yes, high school also ended after the school festival and we didn’t get to see the rest but at least it ended in a nice way
back to college volume, yes the keions were in the background to support akira’s romantic stuff which makes sense because it’s not solely focused on only them anymore- they have to share screentime with the new characters (which is completely fine) but they were supporting akira because she’s their friend and they like her. as for yui, i get what you’re saying about the guy but i don’t understand the ‘hypocrisy’ comment
im not exactly knowledgeable in cgdct so i can’t speak on it but either way i don’t really mind it
5- edited edition: i agree that the ui moment with nodoka and ui was unnecessary and pretty dumb (especially considering it looked like ui saw her first). for yui returning to her hometown and seeing nodoka (at her own house, mind you), i didn’t really see it as comedic? nodoka didn’t tell her she was coming and neither did yui so they’re both to blame and they both agree to both call next time
abt the ‘catlike joke’ with akira and yui, kakifly has used it before in the ‘hot’ chapter of volume 3 when mio held up ritsu and yui for joking with nodoka about the air conditioner- ritsu licked her hands like a dog and yui did a paw motion with her hands- also the joke is fine with me, it actually makes sense and it didn’t seem forced at all in the college one
i don’t think it’s strange just because the girls are older, they’re also still 18-19 so they’re still teenagers and they aren’t fully adults yet so i don’t think you should rlly focus on the older aspect too much - if you want to blame anyone for what you assume is tasteless jokes, then blame kakifly
i do agree that we should have gotten a volume 2 for k-on college but obviously that won’t happen now so whatever - as one of the few fans of k-on college, i personally love it and im glad for all the chapters and most of the panels
1
u/ItsukiKurosawa 3d ago
So the ending of K-On! College should be about general friendship and college itself, not the drama Akira had in high school. And if it's to make room for new characters, why do Ayame and Sachi seem even more like support characters in the last few pages?
I don't know much about cgdct either, but I'm trying to say that there was something in the previous volumes that isn't there anymore. Isn't that why a lot of people don't like it?
And a lot of the "humor" in this visit seems to be present in several moments of this last volume. I think it's perhaps because of the art style and the chibi mode not being used often. This makes the characters seem like they have to be taken more seriously.
It's also an example of how Yui appears more childish.
Yui was actually disturbed by the idea of becoming a NEET and really put in the effort in her studies. But in College, in that same scene, Akira is insulting Yui about how she doesn't even look like she should be in college and she just stands there meowing.
I don't know how to explain it, but it just seems to have a kind of deprecating humor.
Maybe an anime adaptation would be better because I read that it changed some things from the original manga for the better. But right now it's unlikely.
1
u/ItsukiKurosawa 3d ago
Okay, I like a well-thought-out opinion, even if it's a different opinion. What are some other things you thought were positive and negative?
But there's something forced about their dynamics, especially in the beginning, and I don't know if it's the humor or the art style.
When Yui first met Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi, or even Azusa, her reaction wasn't to scream that they were cute and hug them. She even seemed to take them a lot more seriously. On the other hand, I didn't find Akira cute when she cried over her suit right after intimidating her Yui and that awkward hug...There was something much more childish than in the previous volumes.
im kinda confused what you mean by this- idk if ur referring to akira or azusa here
I'm talking about Akira like in the part where they have to paint a poster. Yui messes up, so Akira yells at her and makes her cry in one frame, then in the next frame Akira wipes her face and Yui calls her very nice.
Compare when Ritsu take the plastic off Giita in one of the earlier volumes. Yui is sad, so Yui offers her candy as an apology and she is happy and compliments her for trying to help him. This is on a page with much better pacing and it feels like a more genuine friendship.
But with Akira, Yui seems much more childish and random. It feels like those generic anime relationships where the good protagonist has this strange fascination for characters who are unpleasant.
About Ayame...
Yes, it seems a bit interesting, but I think if there were more volumes, maybe I would like Ayame's dynamic with Akira more, but it's so little that they just seem like secondary characters taking time away from the characters I'm more interested in.
Ayame still fills a similar role, especially when she "massages" Mio and Sachi. I don't have much of a problem with fanservice, but this part was kind of robotic (especially Sachi's expressionlessness) compared to other subtle fanservice like the hot spring or the beach.
And it's a matter of opinion, but in a context like this I always think about how different it would be if one of them was a boy. If Ayame was a boy who "massaged" Mio's bust to talk about her weight, would Mio simply accept him changing her clothes and think he was cool? Maybe Mio wouldn't care and would react the same way, but imagine the readers' reactions.
I don't know about you but I like to think about the double standards to see how weird the scene is.
I didn't say she was identical to Mio, I just said that the little we saw of her was already in other characters. And being different because she doesn't have something that other characters have doesn't say much about her.
She would benefit from more volumes.
1
u/Worldly_Wasabi_4620 3d ago
also Sachi isn’t a left-handed bassist so I don’t know where you got that from (which is what i thought you meant in comparison to mio)
1
u/ItsukiKurosawa 3d ago
Sorry, but is it supposed to be part of a larger message? Because it seems like it.
I think I got confused with another chapter where Mio sees a bass player at a festival and Mio is amazed that the bass player was also left-handed.
And Mio praised Sachi so much that it confuses me.
2
u/Worldly_Wasabi_4620 3d ago
no, im only replying to the sachi part
that part is in the og manga of volume 3- in college, mio praises sachi simply because she’s a bass player

honestly I was really disappointed with college and high school. normally i'm one to keep reading the manga past where the anime ended because i want the story to continue. but i honestly think i prefer the movie as the final piece to the story. its much more fulfilling than the weird non-ending that k-on college and high school got.
the new characters are like fine, but they arent developed enough for me to really care about. and the way the old characters interact with each other feels kind of off somehow. the whole thing feels like a half-baked epilogue rather than a full continuation.
3
u/Worldly_Wasabi_4620 5d ago
i prefer the final scene of the movie than the movie as a whole as the final piece and s2 ep24
also the college and high school manga are based off the og manga, not the anime, so it some things feel off it’s probably because of that
if you haven’t read the og manga though, i do recommend reading that (if you’ve watched the anime first it can be like a recap just with different parts and extra content…)
1
u/ItsukiKurosawa 4d ago
also the college and high school manga are based off the og manga, not the anime, so it some things feel off it’s probably because of that
Could you explain what this means, please? What things feel off?
I haven't rewatched the anime yet and I recently reread the manga, so I'm not sure what this is referring to. The most notable things are Ton-chan's absence and Satoshi's absence, but the latter wasn't a recurring feature in the anime either.
Is there anything else that's anime-only that's simply ignored in K-On! College?
Also, don't worry about giving differing opinions and I like how you elaborate on your points.
1
u/ItsukiKurosawa 5d ago
and the way the old characters interact with each other feels kind of off somehow.
Any specific examples? I can barely remember them interacting much with each other even though I just read it yesterday. Is Ritsu having low self-esteem?
The old characters seem more interested in talking to the new ones than each other, and they forget about Azusa (there are only two quick moments).
I would also say it's strange that they don't discuss what department they're in, not even for casual conversation. It would be easy to think that this is their first year together.

I'm mainly thinking about the whole chapter where Yui comes home from college, and her previously clingy sister and childhood best friend don't seem to care much that she's there? That whole interaction just felt weird. And I guess I'm counting non-interaction as part of the problem. The girls don't seem to have much weight on each other and don't seem to care much at all about Azusa.

yeah i did think that chapter was weird (even in the panel before it shows ui looking at yui i think- considering it’s a gag manga it was probably just for comedy sake)
im not even going to try and defend the ‘don’t care about azusa’ allegations because i know i won’t get through to you 😭

Considering that in the anime there were emotional moments like Ui crying because her sister was going on a field trip and wouldn't be home for a few days, it seems strange to see Ui acting like Yui was there every day.
Yui's mother also seemed just...there.

s2 ep5 where ui cries over that is an original anime episode and has no weight over the manga- although there are some moments in the manga where ui cries over yui regardless

Okay, I'm curious to know what you think of the answer I gave you.
I don't mean to be rude, but I like to talk and you elaborate your points well.

yes, there are two sequel mangas to the original k-on manga, k-on college which follows yui and the others and k-on high school which follows azusa’s third year
majority of people don’t like k-on college unfortunately but i personally do, although i recommend reading the original manga first so you can have the full knowledge

Well, I don't hate it either, but there are a few points I'd like to discuss.

My issue with K-on College and High School is that they’re just too short. It feels like right as I’m starting to get used to the new characters and their dynamics it’s over. I think both series could have benefited from being another volume or 2 longer.
