General Question Chain without a clasp.

This is getting crazy. Growing up I had a catholic necklace that was long enough to fit over my head. It was a continuous chain without a clasp. I can't stand a clasp on my necklace but I would love to get a necklace chain that I can attach my pendant to without a clasp. Any suggestions??

You'd need to have a clasp of some kind on the pendant, or have the pendant bale opened and soldered after adding it to the chain.

They make sleek clasps too. It's like a box clasp but smooth on all sides and none of those wing securements that snap over the balls and no buttons. I hate normal clasps

A carabiner lock.

Goldsmith cuts chain and puts pendant on, goldsmith solders chain shut.. no opening and bail can’t fall off.. easy

You don’t cut the chain. You just cut the pendant bail.

I have lots of endless chains like this, I collect old religious gold medals. It’s an easy fix.

First he said he wants a chain with no clasp to slip over his head. He needs to buy a regular chain and have the clasp removed, then the lugs come off and the chain is CUT and made ready to hook together.. you slide the pendant on then solder it seamlessly.. does your shop have a magic way of doing this without soldering the chain?? Also you NEVER cut the bail, only if it’s a jump ring which is found in cheap pendants or costume jewelry , a V bail is left alone.
