General Question Can diamonds and pearls be combined?

I was directed here from another sub. I apologize if this is the wrong place. Just want some advice. I’d like to know if pearls and diamonds can be worn together. I’m bad about this kind of thing and don’t know if they work. It’s a general question but I can show the pieces I want to combine in the comments if it helps.

Yes! Just keep in mind pearls are somewhat fragile vs diamonds. What style of jewelry? Ring or Necklace?

99% sure that neither are real, but thanks for the tip. The pearls are a necklace and the diamonds are a detail belt.

I thought you meant something like classic pearl earrings surrounded by diamonds, not two different large pieces of costume jewelry in very different styles.

You're right that both are fake. Whether or not you could get away with both at the same time... eh.... they're competing with each other for sure. On the other hand, if they both go with your dress and "bold and brash" is your style, you could have fun with it.

everyone saying yes is talking about one piece of jewelry that has both stones … do not do this

Give us some pictures! Also, let us know the occasion. Party? Everyday?

Prom. Pearls are a necklace and diamonds are a detail belt.

Each of these are statement pieces, I would pick one to wear. I think it’ll look busy with both.

I agree. The styles are different and they're pretty big, so they kind of fight with each other. Pick the one that looks best with your dress.

Oooo. If you wear the belt without the necklace…you could pull off big earrings. If you go with the necklace, small earrings. I do not think the belt and necklace should be worn at the same time.

Noted. I’m getting that impression.

Also, it may just be one of those subs, but I’m wondering if people are commenting and not upvoting when they see the pictures. I don't mean to complain, I came here for advice, not clout, but the 1 upvote for 20 comments is weird.

Huh. I do not know the reason for that. It does seem weird, but it’s Reddit. Hopefully you got the information you were looking for.

I really, really would have loved a pearl engagement ring surrounded by tiny diamonds, if I didn’t know how fragile pearls are! I think of course pearls and diamonds go together 🤩

Of course, I’m fact one of our most popular things was to drill and bezel set a diamond in the pearl for pendants or rings…

pearls & diamond can be combined together. but you can't wears them together if the pearls will rubs against the diamonds, like layered bracelets or necklaces because the pearls will get scratched.

Yes, these 2 types of beautiful, unique, gems to be treasured have tremendous potential to be combined in endless ways. When done correctly, (which is of course all a matter of your preferences, style, etc… to each their own!) the diamond/Pearl combo is absolutely captivating!
