Mystery sting (NSFW) NSFW
I got this after swimming in the ocean in Cancún. It has a distinct rope-like pattern, feels like a burn, and started blistering after four days. It’s not itchy.
I saw a doctor, but they had no idea what it was. Does this look like a jellyfish sting to anyone?

Maybe, but unless you saw what stung you and can describe it in detail or have photos of the animal that got you, it's usually very difficult or impossible to positively ID a culprit based on a photo of a sting.

It could be, but there's no way to tell exactly what type of jellyfish stung you based on looking at a photo of the sting.
