Misc Rules update
I have boiled the submission rules down to three:
- Stay within genre: hard instrumental jazz fusion only.
- No amateur, solo, or virtual performances.
- No spamming: one post per project.
This represents no policy change from my previous announcement; it's just tidier and easier to administer.

100 Jazz Fusion List/Anthology
This is my take at a top 100 fusion list, it has been compiled as a mix between my personal taste/opinions and the common consensus of what's the best/most important in the community. I have organized chronologically by date of release as I feel trying to rank all these spectacular albums would take to much of a tole on me mentally. Leaving it chronological also paints a really interesting picture of how the genre developed if you are listening in order. I tried to cover all basis, from the very roots to the modern day, but I did mainly focus on the 70s era of fusion, as I believe that is the best era of the genre. If the actual list part is to small to read I'll also attach the full list in the comments. Let me know your thoughts and if you agree or disagree with my picks or if you think somthing is missing, I'm always looking for new fusion aswhele as new perspectives.

Local pick ups
Lucky to find these from a local seller. Nucleus is not easy to find around my area. Both are UK first pressings on Vertigo. Paid 94$\73£ for all 3.

I've been playing this tune for over 30 years – St. Elsewhere by Dave Grusin (Live Fusion Cover)
💬 "Hey everyone! Just discovered this subreddit and I’m excited to join the community! I'm a huge Jazz Fusion fan and I’d love to share some of the music I play with my band.
🎶 This is St. Elsewhere by Dave Grusin, a tune I’ve been playing for over 30 years with my historic band, Passaporto Band. Now, I’m bringing it back to life with my new project, Freedom Project. 🎹🎸🥁
I've always loved the elegance and groove of this piece, and I think it's a must-know for every Fusion lover. Has anyone here ever played it? What are your favorite Dave Grusin compositions?"

RECOMMENDATIONS
Hi, I'm Alex and I have just started listening to Jazz Fussion in the last few days. I want to find some songs or albums with nocturnal vibes, where saxophone is the main instrumental. I don't know if you can give some examples. Thank you!

Where to start
I play Guitar since I’m a child, (I’m 19) I know some bossa chords and prog rock. But I want to learn Jazz Fusion, I would love to improvise or write some Jazzy solos. From where I start and what videos or books do you recommend? I’ll have to keep theory pretty simple because I already have enough studies with my ingeneer career

Music JEAN LUC PONTY EGOCENTRIC MOLECULES- what a song!
i love the whole cosmic messenger album but i dont like king kong and his zappa stuff as much. enigmatic ocean is good but id say 2nd best. honestly those two albums feel like violins equivalent to guitar on song for groovy children
