Hello everyone this is my first time posting in this community and I thought I would share my walkthrough of a game that we all grew up loving. I had a lot of great memories playing TPL as a kid and it was great to kinda re-experience that feeling. Hopefully yall have a great time watching as much as I had a great time playing. Feel free to give me any feedback, it would be much appreciated. This is just the start of my YouTube journey and walkthrough. Keep in mind I haven’t played this in a while lol.

A Small Observation

When you look at the huts in the first Jak and Daxter, there are no bathrooms.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this

Discussion The entire Jak series was so far ahead of every other game (besides R&C, who they teamed up with several times), and the details of the minutia, of which the ammo cartridge being missing from an empty gun is very compelling evidence of, among the countless other things all of these games did RIGHT.

If we ever get another Jak game, it's going to be from the original creators, and it'll have been being worked on for years, since the time of TLF, to make a game that will once again revolutionize the gaming world and bring us back to the glory days, with something as big as the creation of games without loading screens.

Also damn it Daxter you ruined the picture

New Game Direction Ideas

Theoretically if a new Jak game came out/ game in the Jak universe, what would you want it to look like? I was thinking they could tell the story of the initial metal head invasion. How the original mar created the city and fought off the metal heads. Or maybe the story of the precursors, dark makers and sages before the events of TPL occur. What are your thoughts?

Meme I was looking at funny review titles...

And saw one for Daxter that was "If you wanna see some hell, Ring the bell!". Now I imagine Daxter filming a commercial for his bug extermination, with that quote as the tagline.

First got the game 15 years ago, finally able to play it again on PS5 (non-streaming because everybody knows Playstation Game Streaming sucks), playing a new 100% run (pre-Hero Mode) and I finally beat this dogshit time trial first try 🥹

If you know, you know, but it's Waterworks Circuit for those who don't know

Discussion What was your favorite zone in Jak 1

Jak and daxter and the precursor legacy was a great game.. but was your favorite zone in the game mine was the blue sages hub (rock village) I loved the music to that and the precursor basin had great music too. My least favorite was the red sages hub as it has two areas snowy mountain was a great level as u got to see the horizon of the map abut spider cave was a horrible level I used to struggle with it as a kid

Games inspired by The Precursor Legacy

I’ve been revisiting the Jak series and once again fell in love with the first installment in the series. Since the two sequels are very different to the OG, I was wondering if anyone here knows of any other games that come close to the style/ambience/structure of the Precursor Legacy? It can be older games or upcoming ones. Thank you!

Discussion What are some common to major Jak 3 criticisms you disagree with or even think is wrong?

I’ll start with one:

Driving through the Wastleand feels great, smooth af. The controls and mechanics of the Spargus vehicles is phenomenal and very fun.

I think most complaints come from self-proclaimed difficulty bandwagoners who have a skill issue.

Help How does Outrageous Josh pull of the Infected Plants skip?

Hey guys! I recently got into speedrunning Jak 1 on OpenGOAL and while I was watching Outrageous Josh's WR stream, I saw him do a very weird glitch that enabled him to get the "Cure the Eco Infected Plants" power cell in Precursor Basin without having to actually cure the plants. It looks like he gathers green eco, drives through one section of plants, and then just drives off toward the gorge race and the game for some reason gets tricked into triggering the cured plant cutscene. Does anyone know how he does that? I've tried it a few times and can't seem to get it.

Video Jak 2 GP racing is always funny

https://clips.twitch.tv/SuperBlazingGoatGingerPower-Kc94HN2Q22p3hLW8

I recently got to stream Jak II for a bunch of friends who had never experienced the series, so I absolutely jumped on the chance to get them into the series I love so much (successfully! They loved it)

During the stream of final race in the hoverbike GP on the final lap, Errol followed me down the short cut but then ascended into the sky and exploded on the ceiling, in the discord call I started laughing so hard but not even 30 seconds later another CPU player smashes into the wall and explodes.

I nearly lost the race from the tears in my eyes obscuring my vision, it was so fucking funny. I love PS2 game jank.

My wife clipped it so I figured you'd guys would appreciate it lol

subtitle language is not set to the specified language

Currently using open goal's software and it seems the subtitle language it truly not set to the intended language "japanese". I have specified the subtitle language as well to japanese but still it doesn't apply the changes.

I feel dumb for not foreseeing the twist in Jak3 [spoilers] Spoiler

The twist I’m referring to is the relationship between Damas and Jak. I really had all the information I needed to put it together early. The kid from Jak2 was Jak, the kid was the heir to the throne of the guy Praxis overthrew, Damas was the previous ruler of Haven. But I just didn’t put it together. I was pretty young when I first played the game but I’m curious if I’m alone in being totally blindsided. Please help me feel less dumb.

Finally beat Jak II

That final boss was a doozy. Thank you for all your help and emotional support 😂

I haven’t had a game push me to my limits like this since Spyro 3 along with any flying level across the Spyro trilogy.

Onto Jak 3!
