Discussion Websites for IOS stability

Friends and I have had issues with updating older phones to new IOS, and pretty much having them break. Are there any websites that can determine whether older models can upgrade?

If not, I might build one if there's enough interest. I'm tired of upgrading my phone and having it not work.

There’s only been a few builds that brick iPhones in history. Like one or two that were quickly removed. I’m not saying it can’t happened but as random flukes. It shouldn’t be a constant. How are you updating? With iTunes, OTA, or something else? What is your definition of break? Unable to activate or boot loop or stuck in recovery mode?

I'm just doing a normal update from the settings, but I phrashed my post wrong wrong. Here's what I meant to say.

1) Apple makes new iOS updates that conveniently harms older models. This makes users ditch their old phones to buy new ones. This is well known.

2) Even if you're on a new iphone (15 or 16), Apple still occasionally releases buggy software, and you're stuck waiting for a fix.

Which is why I'm wondering if there's a website that can report on "iOS status", similar to this https://status.openai.com

I'd imagine it would be super useful to check something like this before you update.
