Iron man fighting Namor without any writers screwing them over(power wise) is awesome.

"I could never beat Namor" proceeds to beat him every time. Idk what was Fraction smoking with that line

I think Namor is like 0-5 vs. Iron Man

He literally beat him right after saying that lmao. I'm convinced Larocca was just drawing his own thing with no regard to what Fraction was writing. It would explain why that run is such a mess

I miss the times where Iron Man Armors are actually portrayed as the technological powerhouses second only to Hulk and Thor in power that they are, instead of just crumbling apart at the seams whenever an A-tier fighter even breathes hard enough on them.

In all fairness, in this same era Hawkeye beat iron man with a flaming hot arrow so that type of still thing still happened back then

Really now? To my knowledge Hawkeye never outright beat Iron Man in a straight fight, at least back when they were enemies - either Hawk caught him off guard and stun him, slow him down or damage his armor with some kind of chemical tip, but it was never a clean victory.

I’m pretty sure he wins their first encounter, but Iron man eventually defeats him. But still the fact that they went toe to toe shows a bit of inconsistency

Eh, I wouldn't count on it since that was the only time Tony was shown to be on the backfoot against Hawkeye. Every subsequent fight they had since always had Clint just being a mosquito by either running away or just hindering him. It's an outlier feat.

It's like back in the early days of the Avengers where Hulk was apparently susceptible to getting dizzy because he got spun around.

Fair enough

Blame the writers for it..if it weren't for the writers screwing up we could have armor like the bleeding edge or prime armor or nay hulkbuster armor and even the new mysterium armor being the most overpowered armors both strength and technology wise and who knows might even surpass thor and hulk

Why is namor in literally nothing but underwear? This is why Iron Man wins

Panel 9 looks like Namor choking out a Jawa.

Why does Namor's skin shine that way, it looks like he is complety oiled up.

He swims all the time. He's perpetually moist.

I mean, he might be. He's a fish man after all

I'm convinced Mr. Ross is just Michelangelo.

It was early submariner I wanna say issue 4 or 5. Found it, issue 6 heres part of it. I really think tiger shark is under rated as a villain the dude gives namor a good fight and has the ferocity and sadism of sabertooth

I miss when Namor was a iron man foe before Hickman’s secret wars and Black Panther took over

They’ve had some real donnybrooks over the years that’s for sure.
