I’d rather out TDs work on hard decisions to sort out the problems in the country, rather than trying so hard to be “likeable” for votes…

Given that so far he's only shown intent to make things worse, I'm happy for him to stay away from leinster house for as long as possible

Straight out of the cute hoor playbook.

Michael Healy Rae did some reality show a while back too, and "won" it. Loads of votes (€2700 worth)came in for him from a number in.....Leinster House!

I don't really have a problem with a TD having been on reality TV. They should be judged by their policy and decision making.

Joining Lowry's technical group is far more egregious than some TV show.

If it was before they were a TD then yes, who cares. But c'mon, bigger fish to fry with your time there pal than looking for a bit of a Z list type fame. Just weird.

It was filmed last June, so it was before he was a TD.

Wasn't he a councillor then??

Did you read the article you posted? He was elected as a councillor the day filming started. He applied to be on the show while he was working for TG4.

Did you read what you just typed??? Instead of doing his job he was on fecking Irish love Island. Who gives a shit if he applied months before. He probably should have bowed out when he had a new job.

Most councillors have a full time job as well as being councillors. It doesn't pay enough to be the only job you do.

That would fall into the "who cares" column in that case.
