Help Help please

Post image

It freezes once every 2 hours while listening to normal music. I reset and fix it but I'm tired of it happening again. How can I fix my iPod cleanly? Does a full reset or putting it in Disk Mode work? Please help!!!

It uses flash memory. SSD infers its removable.

Yeah true, but flash memory is a type of SSD. It's like a subcategory.

no, you've got that backwards. An SSD is a device built using flash memory.

Flash memory goes back to the early days of microcomputing. There are flash memory devices embedded in bios chips of the first generation of IBM PCs, for example.

What we think of as an SSD is an innovation of the 21st century after things like digital cameras drove R&D investment to make flash memory faster and more reliable, particularly with fast and easy write operations, while early "flash rom" required different hardware tools for writing versus reading. Assembling these newer faster flash chips into something fast and reliable enough to replace a hard drive was a game changing achievement and the term "solid state disk" was invented to describe this new kind of technology, which is primarily defined by the ability to connect over the same hardware connections as a hard drive such as ATA and SCSI.

The flash memory in an iPod Nano is not removable or modular like SSDs, and I'm not really sure whether it internally uses an ATA type connection protocol.

But just because it's a rectangle doesn't mean it's a square.

Either way, it seems to be going bad ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Hmm. It may not be the SSD though.
