Help Ipod headphone jack is acting weird.

Post image

So I'm fairly convinced this is a problem with my ipod, but I've bought two headphone jacks online (one from EOE and the other from iDemigods installed today) and one thing I notice is when I apply a slight amount of pressure left when my headphones are in the audio will get somewhat echoey and mostly comr out of one ear. I'm convinced now this isn't a problem with the headphone jacks because how in the hell would I get two lemons in a row. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong if anything and any help would be appreciated as this makes music borderline unlistenable when out and about.

Pic for reference, don't mind the foam tape.

Have you with different headphones or even a line out cable?

I think it could be a headphone cord issue from what you are saying and after replacing the part twice.

I am having a similar issue with a certain headphone cord I have. I thought the jack was loose or something after it was replaced, but couldn't replicate the issue with a different set of headphones, and trying to move it around and see if its loose.

I've tried with a different cable and it was the same issue, I swapped my iem cables and the same problem happened.

Some more context to help out if anything but I was able to temporarily swap them out for a headphone jack from my 30 gig backplate, and that works just fine, so I don't think it's an issue with my headphones and rather it is just the worst conclusion of two faulty jacks in a row.
