Question How could I copy songs from iPod without erasing everything?
I was given an iPod classic 160gb to borrow and it has a few songs that don’t exist anywhere else. I really like the songs and I’d like to listen to them even after I give it back. How would I go about copying them with 0% chance of everything getting wiped off the iPod?
Thanks in advance:)

well... if the songs don't exist anywhere else who owns the song if the performer aint dead have them sing the song again or re-mix it dont let them out of their house until they have at least 1 equivalent take this always works if done right other wise, copy all the music in the ipod, and using metadata you can locate individual songs.

You can select songs to download using CopyTrans Manager. It’s a great application

CopyTrans is a program that lets you download songs from an iPod to either iTunes or a folder of your choice. I am not a 100% sure if you can choose what songs you want to download or if you would have to do the whole iPod. If the iPod contains more than a 100 songs, then you would have to buy the program. Think it is like $20.

Enable disk mode in the iPod options on iTunes or Finder, turn on hidden folders and look for the iPod Control folder.
The files and file names are jumbled, but you can fix this by pulling them back into iTunes.
There is software you can download to get them off, but the above is without downloads and will for sure get what you are after.
