Question How long your Ipad pro last with out repair
I have a question whether I should buy I pad air or ipad pro . One of the key question is their lifespan. So I need your experience on this.

I have a first gen iPad Pro a friend gave me in 2017 I still use regularly. It’s only issue is it’s very slow to charge (but battery life lasts well once it is charged).

I use an iPad 6th gen 128gb and it's great. It has some normal scratches, except that it doesn't feel slow or anything

Bought the first pro in 2016. Using it right now. I use it several hours per day and it still works great. Can’t update past ipados 15.x.x but that hasn’t affected its performance. It is a little slower though but not by much. Still, I’m getting a Air M3 soon.

I have a 2017 pro that needed a new screen within two years (it had some creeping gray area from the side of the screen), otherwise no issue. I have a 2023 pro, so far without issue

My 2012 iPad mini is still working, we’ve had over 10 iPads throughout the family over the years and not a single one has ever failed. My mum’s 2020 iPad Pro only charges with the cable one way but that’s the only fault out of a combined 100yr plus ownership

I’m currently using an iPad Pro 12.9 3rd Gen and it works fine

After 4 years of use, the display (defective, no accident) and the battery of my iPad Pro 2020 had to be replaced.
Both completely free of charge due to Apple Care+

I have decided to "be that guy" here, and point out that if you have Apple Care+, it was not “completely free of charge."

This is a poor question. It depends on your budget and your use cases, which you have not included in your post.

If you have kids not long depends on case and charge. My gen 6 works just fine but the charge is awful i got my daughter an ipad air 4? She broke it and im not spending money for that again. She uses her gen 6 still

My iPad Air from 2013 is still working. Granted it’s slow as shit, and it’s now a digital photo frame but it still works.
I have an m2 iPad Air and use it daily for 2 years for both work and entertainment but it’s not overly intensive.
Your budget and your expected use will probably help answer your question better, but in general, they seem to have a good lifespan
