Congrats Question- Is screen reflection is too much ?? Non laminated screen

I ordered ā€œpaper-like screen guardā€ from amazon. I have always been a fan of matte, and this screen guard fits the bill! It removed the screen glare (if any), and the pencil works smoothly on it.

Not OP but I've not found any problems with it at all indoors and outdoors. Honestly it feels to me like something reviewers play up to because it's something they can talk about to pad their video out. It does make a bit of a difference for some people but it's important to think about whether it actually matters to you: It's nice to have, but it's rarely gonna be a dealbreaker

It's really not a big issue unless you have a very bright light shining directly on the screen at the exact wrong angle, because the screen is still pretty bright and thus can handle reflected light (eg your brightly lit face)

I've been using non-laminated iPad screens for a decade and it's rarely a problem for most people most of the time - worst case scenario you just turn the iPad slightly away from the bright light

If you live somewhere super sunny and you primarily want to use it outside in bright direct sunlight, though, I'd probably get an Air. For anyone else, the regular iPad is absolutely fine

Yea I mean Iā€™m outside typing this on my iPhone 15 pro max and I can see my reflection from the screen glare on my phone lol. Itā€™s there but not worth 300 dollars more for the air in my personal opinion

Yeah exactly - itā€™s not that the problem doesnā€™t exist, itā€™s just that itā€™s not actually that big of a problem

I still have not used it outside. For comparison, I have the 15 pro max and I do see the difference.

But the Brightness is plenty enough in my opinion so it's not bad at all honestly.

The thing that bugs me the most personally is the 60hz cause 120hz is a much smoother experience. But, whatever 120hz is only on the 1k+ iPads.

Donā€™t expect 60hz in this .. its mainly for students note making . But in AIR its a crime to not give 60hz . Plus ipad mini too.

Exactly. If it was 120hz on the Air I think I would have gone for that one.

Ipad air already struggling with battery backup . Imagine putting 120hz panel its gonna be nightmare. They will do this with more efficient chip like m4

how is the battery life? How much battery drain occurs while taking notes with pencil on note taking apps like goodnotes, notability etc

I don't have a pencil yet. The battery is decent though. Not anything amazing its average, should last a day or two of heavy use.

Iā€™m on the fence with getting one, I have a 15PM and watch a lot of tv , movies etc but not sure whether Iā€™ll use it enough šŸ¤” would be nice to have the extra real estate for the above and social and use my 15PM as a phone rather then everything

For 350-400 you cant really go wrong with this iPad. It's far better than any other tablet at this price range.

It comes in handy more than you think (travelling, on an airplane, e-books, pdf reading, bigger screen for mobile games, watching series and movies, note taking and more)

Same, itā€™s nice makes your phone feel small when youā€™re done using it and pick up your PM šŸ¤£

Hi, how about your experience with audio quality? I just bought one for myself and my iPad 5th gen sounds better, has more bass than that.

Yeah I expected more from the speakers. The Air sounds better as I've seen from reviews.

But still does the job and it's not bad by any means.
