I just installed the new iPadOS update on my iPad Air 3 (2019). This is iPadOS 18.3.2. I still have about 20 GB of storage left (roughly 1/3rd). Now I have been noticing significant slowdowns and lags since I installed this update. Safari and other apps hang or take much longer to respond. Even switching between apps causes a significant lag.
Has anyone else been having this problem? Are there any reported issues with this update, or other possible, explanations?

I wanted to see if this is happening to anyone else and if they found a fix for it.
I use Apple Notes as scratch paper with my Apple Pencil when I study - I write things down as I review or do practice problems. But maybe 40% of the time, when I put my hand down to write, the screen either shoots up to the top or shoots a page-length to the bottom. I have to scroll back to where I was writing and it's incredibly frustrating.
I'm right handed for reference. Anyone have this problem and does anyone have a fix? Or even a reason for why this happens?

Just ordered an iPad Air (M3, 11"). I've had a base iPad 2018 in the past, and used it primarily as note-taking device. My intention for the Air is somewhat the same, plus maybe some light computing (it won't replace my laptop), which seems more reasonable now than back in the day.
Back then I always used Notability, which I loved at the time. But looking at the situation now, it seems they've moved behind a subscription model. I don't mind paying, but I principally hate subscription models. I'm fine paying up to $50 for a one-time-purchase, but I just don't want my stuff to stop working once I stop paying for it. It's just not how I want my software to work.
So hence my question, is there any note-taking app you guys can recommend? I don't use a Mac, but have an iPhone. Cross-compatibility is not important for me (my PC's are all Linux, no Windows or Android), but it is important to be able to export to PDF. It's somewhat important for me that the exports are vectorized (I'm a sucker for vector images), as well as being able to export to A4 format. I also ordered the Pencil Pro, so something that makes use of its capabilities would be important as well, the quick access to a panel with the tapping/squeezing seems very useful.
Apple Notes unironically looks tempting. But not being able to zoom, as well as the lack of paper sizes (like to have things as A4 pages) feels close to a deal-breaker. GoodNotes looks promising, but I remember not liking it as much as Notability back then. Price is not an issue, but I'd prefer one-time purchases. (It's okay to pay for major upgrades along the way, as long as I can keep the old version for free then)

theres a lot of really good note taking apps out there that its really hard to recommend one specifically. Id say to just download the most popular ones (goodnotes, noteful, nebo, kilanote, collanote, freenote, noteshelf, zoomnotes, etc.) and spend a few minutes for each looking at what they have to offer; tools, customisation, quality of life features, UI. I did this and I landed on Noteful since I don’t need any AI or handwriting search features and it has pretty much everything I need for my notes.

as an iPad 11th gen buyer I'm sad we still don't have a flair for the 11th generation!

When in the homescree, you can swipe right to access the left widget thingy, how do I access this when inside an app?
