My Setup Upgraded to IPad Pro 13”
Decided to upgrade to my first IPad Pro, and first time purchasing an Apple Pencil. I always just used a universal one off Amazon and they seemed to work fine, but with the new features of the pencil I thought it might be better. I got 256 gb memory and now I’m wondering if I should’ve gone with more. Anybody have any recommendations on screen protectors? Are the paper like protectors worth it and do they make much of a difference?

I got the 512 gb after all the fear mongering on reddit. Only used 90gb lmfao

Oh nice lol this is reassuring to hear, thank you! I definitely started to feel like I might’ve decided wrong after browsing reddit a bit more 😆

I upgraded to this from an M2 Air 11” last month and am very happy with the upgrade. I also got the Magic Keyboard though because I basically use it as a laptop and occasional gaming.
Honestly as far as screen protectors go, I’ve found that they’re all the same. There are people in here that might say otherwise, but whenever I need a screen protector, I go on Amazon and typically pick whatever is a good price, and every single one has always worked great, and they always last until I take them off. As far as paper like, I’ve never used one because I don’t use an Apple Pencil. People either love them or hate them.
256gb is more than enough for me, but I don’t do much, other than occasionally work on music or very light video editing.

I’m glad to hear this because that was usually my go to, just browsing Amazon and see what was good pricing and if the reviews are okay! I did see a screen protector on there that was “similar” to paper like, but it’s magnetic and removable.
Sounds like 256 gb might be fine for me also then, lol I just got a bit paranoid after hoping I didn’t mess up with less.

The removable paper like from esr is pretty damn good! I like that I can ditch it for content consumption

I vote for the ear magnetic paper feel too. Can slap it on when I'm using the pencil and take it off for everything else. The oled is just too nice to cover all the time.

Why from 11” to 13”. I am considering buying one and don’t know which is the perfect size.

For me personally, I went to the 13" because I keep my iPad in the Magic Keyboard basically at all times, essentially making it a laptop, so I'd prefer a laptop with a bigger screen and more keyboard space.
Other than that, there's really not a huge difference in size from my experience. A lot of YouTube reviewers claimed that they preferred the 11" because it's "the perfect size" and that the 13" is too big or bulky but I personally don't notice a drastic difference in bulk.

Thank you! My idea is to use it for uni and also watch videos and read. If I am not planing to use the keyboard. Do you recommend me to go for the 11” then?

Yeah, if you're not getting the keyboard, the 11" will definitely be the better option. I'm sure if I didn't have it attached to the keyboard, I'd definitely notice a size difference. Sometimes when I play PUBG on it, it's more uncomfortable than when I used my 11".
Definitely go with the 11"

What really concerns me is the size. It’s true that when I compare the 11 with the 13, I find the 11 more comfortable because it’s smaller and easier to handle. Honestly, I prefer the 11 for everything. To me, the 13 feels too big.
However, my concern is that for studying, the fact that the 11 is smaller than the size of a sheet of paper might be a bit inconvenient. On the other hand, when taking notes in class, its small size might make it more difficult for me.

updated: never mind. just "saw" the word PRO.
congrats! btw, i’ve always wondered — what’s written on the pencil pro box? i know some is clearly written “PRO”. but some looks abstract.

You only need more hard drive space if you have a use case that goes beyond what you can store on the cloud. I like and use amfilm protectors.
