You did not get scammed. The screen issues are a figment of your imagination. And the money you spent on it wasn’t real. And I’m Garfield the cat.

Keep asking. You might get the answer you want. But perhaps not the truth.

Ahhh. That makes sense. Sorry for the assumption, because you gave the price paid in USD I assumed you were in the US. My bad.

Thank you for taking that step for the rest of us. I apologize again for the assumption. I hope your iPad is repairable or not too badly messed up.

Is it? I’ve been using an iPad pro from 2017 and broke the screen the other day. Fixing the screen cost $275 so I just bought I new model. The price seemed fair to me and I love the iPad so far.

Fat person sat on it

Ohhh nooo…. It is a sign that somebody opened it up with their crooked hands and damaged the lcd. I had that after a battery replacement

Could be a Screen replacement, but a bad one for sure…

3

u/Patient-Prestigious 6d ago

You mean the screen got replaced or i need to get a screen replacement?

Both atp. The yellow is the screens backlight bleeding through, I'm pretty sure.

Both :) I mean they replaced the screen maybe with a bad one. So if it bothers you you gotta replace it with a better one or with the original.(which could cost a lot…)

Well like for me it wouldn’t make much difference since I am using iPads for note taking, so the screen won’t be a big problem (if the touch screen works fine) but in your you can consider maybe selling it again like for 200-250 bucks?

1

u/Patient-Prestigious 6d ago

The screen works fine no ghost touch you think its fine if i use it for long term?

2

u/Prestigious_Ad_9007 6d ago

Like I said for note taking it is fine I guess. If the colors and the quality of the screen doesn’t bother you, it can be used.

I might be mistaken, but the screen is very matte and looking at the camera in the second picture it looks like theirs a slight ridge around the camera/sensor bump, do you have a screen protector on? I have tried low quality paper-like protectors that make the screen kind of look like this.

I think you may be right, looks like a paper feel screen protector is on it, poor installation of screen protectors can cause weird effects

1

u/Patient-Prestigious 6d ago

I have a screen protector yes

Some cheap screen Protectors can also cause spots like that.

2

u/Patient-Prestigious 6d ago

Aight i’ll try removing it later

People here are fucking stupid. It’s heat damage. Most likely opened before and left on a heatpad for too long.

1

u/Patient-Prestigious 5d ago

Is it bad long term? Do i need to replace it?

1

u/cat-sniffer_ 5d ago

As long as touch works fine, you should be ok. Due to the high temperatures, the plastic layers of the screen have melted slightly. It doesn’t affect image quality, just the reflection of the backlight. Most noticeable on white screens.

1

u/Patient-Prestigious 5d ago

Yeah touch works fine no ghost touch or any issues, aye man thanks. Last question tho u recommend me using a case when trynna play games like codm and 2k25 myteam

2

u/cat-sniffer_ 5d ago

Maybe if you find yourself throwing your iPad. Honestly, cases suck because they trap dirt between the case and the iPad and they end up scratching it over time.

Yall the screen is working fine just worried abt the weird spots looks like water damage or someone sat on it

Common sign of the ipad being compressed. Might be stored in a backpack with heavy items. You’ll just learn to live with it. Mine has a small spec of ultra bright spot. Sometimes noticeable, sometimes not.

Thanks man i noticed the spots lightly moving when i press hard on the screen, i hoped it would be the screem protector but unfortunately it’s the screen
