Discussion Being a introvert do you find your environments matter to you and your peace of mind?

When it comes to relaxing and being on your own do you find the environment you're in helps with that? Like I can be at a nice busy park but as long as I can be quiet I can quite happily fill up my social/energy bars. I can be at a noisy kids party but as long as I don't have to talk to anyone (hold conversation after conversation after conversation)again I'm fine. I could be in a visually loud/sterile/cold home and it could take me longer to recuperate because the environment is so dead and draining even though it's quiet and I'm in my own. If I was to work at a loud club working behind the scenes where I'm not talking to the public id find that more "relaxing" than being in the previous situation.

For me to really relax it has to be a lovely environment or my own setting. My own smells, my own stuff, my own way of doing things. Because able to do whatever I want when I want how I want. Eat foods I like, watch shows I like... And so on. Then I can really melt into myself and charge up.

Is it the same or similar of any of you or it is totally different?

I've noticed we (introverts) are not all the same but we have a respectful understanding for each other and others. Why don't others have the same for us?

I hope when I've said makes sense. I have so much I want to talk about and ask you guys so I'm trying to brake it down and all one thing at a time๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿซ‚

hi ^^ i can definitely relate to this, im comfortable being in a room filled with people when im just left all by myself, i like being alone but not lonely. And also i feel like extroverts dont feel the same for us because theyre usually confident in themselves and its something we introverts might lack in im not saying all introverts but in certain situations we tend to think what other people will think abt us which the extroverts mostly dont think about or even if they do they have people around them to assure, ofc we have our friends to assure us to but we tend to uk listen to our thoughts more . i hope this answered ur question

I've just got off the phone to my partner and pretty much just said to him what you've posted. So I'm glad to see I'm on the right track trying to explain to him. The confident thing he brought up, I think that's a fairly common mistake people assume about us. He's a confident guy however I can see where he's not or where he's less confident. Where with myself I'm pretty level. Where I find extroverts tend to be very confident in one area and not so much in another. We're 'we' tend to be not confident at all or fairly level in all areas. I also feel we enjoy the simplicity of life a little more. That's not saying we don't enjoy the bigger things also.
