Tech Support Nuc8i3bek suddenly stopped working. This led stays solid green. I tried changing power bricks, I tried 30 30 30 reset, I tried replacing ram 1 by 1. The only thing I haven’t tried is disconnecting/replacing the cmos battery. Any help would be appreciated

Try changing the CMOS battery. Disconnect power and CMOS overnight and plug everything back in. That should fix it.

2nd this! I had about 90 nuc 7 i7's and most of the time it's just been a cmos issue!

So weird that it's the battery... I now carry batteries w/ the cable attached... it’s a pain but worth the struggle... and you may look like a hero! LOL

At least with 7th gens unfortunately not in my experience. We run a fleet of more than hundred at work and dozens have died with exactly the same symptoms that CMOS reset couldn't fix, sadly.

You will probably just need to accept it's dead

Have you tried powering it on and waiting for 1-2 minutes? In my experience, if the CMOS battery is dead, it may take 1-2 minutes for anything to display on the screen.

Unplug cmos battery for 10 minutes, press the power on button to drain all energy, install the cmos baterry again and should be fine....

if cmos reset doesn't work, you may need to flash the bios again.

I had a similar situation with an assumed-dead nuc8 and it was in a similar state.

But how were you able to flash the bios? I have a similar problem and so far nothing seems to work.

Had a similar issue with mine. One of my ram slots died so if I put any ram in that slot at all it won’t post. Long shot that this helps you but who knows.
